All depends on the cash flow. You can make anything as fast or as slow as you want whichever way you go. Just gotta have the cash.

To be N/A with the OHV and fast is not gonna be cheap by no means.

Highly doubt it. Honestly, going all motor with the OHV isn't worth it. I wouldn't even go all motor in my ECOTEC for high gains because it's honestly not worth doing (in my opinion). By time you replace everything inside your motor, you would spend a ton of money for parts and labor and your gains would be lower than what you would expect.

Seriously, the amount of money you'll spend on rebuilding your motor inside out and tuning it, you could have a turbo'd 2.2 OHV pushing more power easily and cheaper. The best thing about turbos is that there is no limitation (granted if you build your motor correctly).

There is no such thing as stupid questions...it's better to ask a question than to assume.

Like said, save up your cash for a turbo setup

turbo or like I did....trade in the old slow 2.2 for a nice fast and more reliable 2.2 ECOTEC

^^^Your trying to say the ECO is more reliable than my 2.2 OHV.

PUHHHHHHHHLEASE

[realitycheck]

My 2.2 is better, faster, and stronger cause it has pushrods. It makes generous amounts of torque and when you throw a bottle of NOS at it you can get a few good runs in before it explodes.

[/realitycheck]

Push rods don't make torque...

Push rods engine are nice because they let you make "small" big block engine like the LS7

Put the crack pipe down and back away slowly! An ECO is leaps and bounds ahead of a 2.2 ohv engine. I'm not knocking your engine but its not even in the same league.

Thats what I was going to do...

I bought a getrag and a lot of parts

Then, I've changed my mind because I though my car was too old...

After I've changed my mind, I was going to buy my self a 2003-2005 cavalier...

I've changed my mind again... I was now going to buy a first gen Miata

Finaly... I think I'll stick with my old car... LOL

And I had a '72 Firebird street car that ran low 11's all day long on street tires thru the exhaust. With slicks it would have run a flat 10.

Theres always someone out there faster then you the secret is to just have fun with what you got.

The 2.2 ohv is not that bad... With money, it can rock...

But I prefer the Ecotec, 'cause I'm an Ecotec whore!

I can't wait to buy my self an Hahn RaceCraft turbo kit for it... god damn...

Oh I never said it was bad just remember I came from the land of RWD and big blocks
so theres not too much here that impresses me. NO thats not a knock as I do respect the amount of hard work that is put into these cars. But theres a big difference between quick and fast and these cars with whatever engine that have may be very quick , Fast?
no they lack displacement but they can be quick and fun. So like I said have fun with it.
