I actually have no idea where it is on the 2200.

On the 2.4L LD9, it's in the plastic expansion box that's on top of the throttle body.

Loosen the hose clamp on the engine side of the black rubber s-tube that goes from the expansion box to the air filter box.

Pull off the engine side of the s-tube.

You'll be able to see the lip of the tuner tube where the s-tube was attached. Just grab onto it and pull it out. It's about 6" long and just stuck there in the hole. Now clamp the s-tube back on and you're done.

The end result will be essentially nothing but it can be a good first "mod" for people who are afraid to touch their engines. It makes them feel all empowered.

So tuner tubes are on the older cars, I havent looked at my engine much, as I am saving for some big mods, but there wouldnt be a tuner tube in an '05 2.2L Ecotec now would there?
Re: tuner tube

their on the 2200 too. right in the 2200 box. take it out just like you do the 2.4s. ecotec may have on too.

I wouldn't get all crazy now! I'd say that, at best, on a nice cool day, it may rob 0.5 hp... tops.... if anything. Hell, it might even give some optimal airflow through the expansion box and actually GIVE you 0.5 hp.

At the end of the day, it's a pointless part whose reason for existance is questionable but it's an easy thing for beginners to do and feel good about.

I know that when I took mine out, I was afraid to touch ANYTHING under the hood of my car so it made me happy.

what's 1 or 2 hp anyways? you'd never tell the difference.
