anyone got any ideas what i can do to increase performace to my 03 cavalier?
As anyone around here will tell your performance = $$$. If you want good performance, you need to spend a good amount of money. Quality also comes into part. Buying a cheap part will result in cheap performance. A big suggestion is to stick with reputable companies and companies more J body related.
Also, it depends how fast you want to go. There are many routes into getting a certain HP amount...it's just how you do it.
I'm assuming you want just a little more pep in your cavalier's step. I'd suggest doing bolt ons...Air intake upgrade, Exhaust upgrade (Header, Cat, Piping & Muffler), motor mounts & maybe bigger throttle body. If you do those upgrades and your satisfied with what you have, than that's good for you. If you decide you want more power...you either have to go into your motor or boost (whether it's turboing or supercharging).
Before you do any of those things, do LOTS of research...you don't want to step into something blindly, you want to know what your doing and know what your getting into.
Good Luck. If you need anymore help, just ask.

You can get an intake off ebay for your car for like 30 bux.....same performance as all the other intakes would give you.

Something like this
ECO intake
or you can mod a cheaper z24 intake, I know its possible.....but I dont know how since I have a 2200.

unfortunatly the intake pictured in the link provided by jbodytuner will not fit. If its just a
represantation of the actual one you will get, then you would have to wait and see.
The problem faceing the eco engine is the location of the throttle body. Its very close to the hood so any intake you get would have to mount in such a way that it is impossible to to get a 90 degree bend tube in there. If you want a good intake for an eco and you have a 5 spd with NO abs then look at the Injen Technoligy intake. If you like it but have abs you need to modify it. The Weapon R intakes, both the Dragon and the Secret Weapon ones should fit any ecos. If you spend your money on a cheep one on E-Bay
and doesn't fit right you'll know why.
Stick with a reliable company thats been around a few years you should be o.k.
