Hi,
I had this posted in the "transmission" section, but I thought I'd post it in the "newbies" section as well since that describes me..
I have a short throw shifter on the way, and I was also thinking of replacing the shifter bushings to tighten up the play that I'm feeling now (side to side movement when in gear). I don't know a lot about this stuff (someone else is going to be installing it for me). I have read about some aftermarket shifter bushings that claim to be better than stock, but couldn't find anything for a Cavalier. Does anyone know or recommend any aftermarket shifter bushings and where to get them? (or just stick with OEM).
Also, will the shifter itself improve the play and should I bother with the bushings? Assume it's not related, but just checking.
Thanks.

That would be double posting... but I'm curious about answer to question.

Not that I think it will generate a lot of debate or anything. But I definately want to play by the rules here. People have been really helpful.
Thanks
