So someone apparently was really hard up for an 8 year old JVC stereo that I had in my convertible. They decided to enter by cutting a slit into the top and unlock the car door. Thank God for insurance.

Meth use has been rising the "value" of old electronics lately.

Sorry to hear that, at least the didn't bust out your window like they did mine a few years back.

The driver side was busted out a few years ago. Has never sat correctly since when all the way up. The got nothing that time. they may have been scared off by my neighbor.

And now insurance want to count it as a total loss because the place they said to take it to wants 1800 to repair just the top. Funny I can find the top and the front weather strip for 815. and I have been told my a local chevy dealer that if I purchase they will install for 300.00. Yes I know I can save and do it myself but hey if insurance will cover it?
