As some of you may know- i kind of lost half of my cold air on the side on I95 headed back from Georgia.
Never ran a short ram; But decided to order from ebay seller 'chromeintakes' due to popular demand.
Dont get me wrong; filter that was shipped with the pipe was decent; but left a gaping hole where my stock box used to be-
Picked up a six inch filter. Overkill; or does it fill the space nicely?
looks ok to me, i mean your not gonna have your hood open all the time for people to see..

Legit; But for when it is- I rill with drift kids in 240s. Im not trying to look out of place at our impromptu car shows. haha

Ahahah.
This.
Although; my local auto X, you'd be incredibly surprised how many people show up in Jbodies.
Yes the 2200 motors do look ugly but some are clean in my book.
I have a 6 inch filter on mine too. Though, mine's attached to a 2.8L turbocharged v6...
Anyway, it's just a filter, and if you're happy with it, that's all that matters.
What brand strut bar is that?
not bad, but wtf happened to fuse box and wiper fluid??
wow your strut bar is actually a tasteful stickerbomb, I like it
Lol the 240 guys corrupted you with their sticker bombs
(Proud 240 Owner)
I'm more concerned with why you're retaining the expansion box. Buy a cheap aluminum 90-degree and straight section and finish it up the correct way.
Strut bar = cheap ebay that came with car when i bought it. Stickerbombed because ugly fake carbon fiber = the devil.
As for fuzebox/ wiper cover- Ask previous owner.
They did me the favor of leaving me a wonderful, rusted 1/2 inch box wrench under my battery. Someone did NOT love my car before me.
2200s are HIDEOUS; but that's the result of homie before me apparently trying to polish the head with a dremel, im betting.

x2
Because i only felt like spending 30 dollars for my intake, as compared to the 45 for direct to TB. Thankyouvery much. =P
Seriously thought-
I didnt feel like unbolting more than i actually had to on this one.
I lost cold air on highway, (RIP) and was kind of fed up at the situation. I didnt really want to do any more work than i had to.
Maybe Im confused but I thought your dad bought the car new or something like that?
TheSundownFire wrote:Maybe Im confused but I thought your dad bought the car new or something like that?
to me and him, it was new.
He bought it with very low miles after a lease, back in 2k2, i believe. (I was 12. Leave me alone.)
He bought it on the thought that my other brother would be interested in it; he wasnt; but his wife was. However- She never really drove it. Sat in our garage until 2k6ish.
I learned to drive in the car; but ended up buying a blazer (Thinking i was a monstertruck driver when i was 16.)((Dont judge- At that age, you would too))
Car sat again until my father passed away in 08, at which time, my brother and i moved in together; yadayada- she was mine.
That's how i've got a 2k1 Jbody with less than 17000 miles.
It has always been my understanding that a leaseee (Is that a word?) could not modify the internals of the car.
Perhaps it was my brother being bored. I have not the slightest. All that i know, is that she had the strut bar, and ugly yellow accents under the hood. All i did was stickerbomb/ epoxy the strut bar.
As far as google will tell me, there arent any local Picknpulls around me- so getting new stuff hasnt been a real option; although- it doesnt actually BOTHER me enough to really care.
Ah wasnt trying to be a cock. I get easily confused.
Could probably grab all of those pieces that need replaced in the engine bay off eBay for cheap or someone in your regional could grab them from a yard.
You might want to scratch the brand name off the filter. You aren't a walking billboard after all.
On the other hand....you have other fingers.

Countless companies? I've only got one on the drivers side tower. and that came with the filter =P
dont you know that having a filter and sticker with the same name, in the same location = installing a rocket ship under the hood?
Thanks for the support, broski.
