new wheels
Sunday, March 20, 2011 10:37 AM
so i know i've been on the same set of wheels now for over 2 years. i painted them every color and even polished them. i loved those wheels but i wanted something to fill in the fender well gap and maybe try a hella flush setup with. so i decided to get some bigger and wider wheels from a friend off of his 240. they are 18x7.5 front and back with a +30 offset. as soon as i get back home from oklahoma city i am getting spacers for the back to get them out of the fender wells. might even have to raise the back up so the tire will clear the fender. let me know what you guys think. some may like and some may not but thats why we post pictures and ask for advice. thanks in advance for all comments and advice!

thanks for the comments.

azncav i plan to get spacers for the back. but only problem right now is the tire is right at the fender wells. i had to roll my rear fenders to keep from hitting the tire and its still too tight to get your finger between the tire and fender. i am not sure what size spacer im going to go with but i'll upload more pics when i get home this week. what suspension setup are you on?

my rear wheels do need to be out a bit more. like i said when i get home and take more pictures you'll all agree that the back needs to be out more. that is how all of my wheels have been but on these you can especially tell b/c of the huge lip. it looks hideous! spacers to get it flush. i like the hellaflush setups but its hard as hell on jbodys. we dont have as easy of suspension and wheel setups to work with on the offsets as the hondas/infinitis/nissans and etc. some people like it and some dont but i personally love it!

thats the exact setup im looking to get. i got 235/40/18 in back and 225/40/18 in front. just a little bit wider in the back but like i said i bought them off of a rear wheel drive car. so he had the setup just a little bit wider in rear.

I liked the old ones better, but the new ones still look great! Good size, but I would space the rears out a tad. Hypocritical of me cause mine are sunk in just as much... lol
