Yes, and the B pillar cover should be painted black.
Its an opinion thing. Most of the guys here will say take 'em off. I personally like them, plus being a commuting college student, I need everything possible to protect from door dings. Your call. Also, I agree with Scott, paint that B-pillar black.

side moldings... i like mine.
pillar- yea, needs painted.
but most of all- time for a new sig!
I like the B billar, but the car being white, it sticks out a lot. If your J was some kind of darker color it would look real good body color.
I say keep the mouldings.

Yeah, I agree - paint the b-pillar black, it flows with the window line much better w/out breaking it up.
I personally prefer the side moldings shaved but it still works ok with your car.
And deff time for a new sig, lol.
i'd say shave the molding. always shave the molding.
the b pillar actually though, i really like being body color on your car, normally it looks like poo but i dig it for some reason.
I like em both, I would keep it the way it is. Car looks fine, looks very clean actually!
new sig!

here's what i've gathered as a collective answer--
do what you feel looks better, and
NEW SIG
^^^^ he has a new sig lol. I say take the door strikes off.

definitely keep the side moldings man. i took mine off and the car has never looked right to me since.
on white taking them off makes the side look to broad and wide. it needs them on there to help break it up and give the side some dimension.
plus since its a 95-99 z, you get the neat "z24" indention. basically you get to advertise the model without actually putting anything 'loud' or obnoxious on the car.
clean stock brands FTW.

Take the your moldings off and replace them with moldings from an 03-05 coupe. thats my vote.
The mouldings are 50-50 so ur call on that, but is it just me, or since u did the 00+ conversion, it looks like ur side marker is sticking out. But ne-who, I say keep them
But put the pillar back to black.
lol my how the times have changed.
i remember a few years ago you would get castrated around here if you wanted to keep ur side moldings.

Everything comes in trends man. Car modding being a very very good example of that. Think of what was acceptable and liked in 1998.... then 2005... and now... I mean, things have changed a TON, even within one small demographic such as J-bodies specifically. Although, my J as it was, when finished, would be done exactly the same now, but I guess I'm one of those "dead in my ways" "old people" kind of people lol. Today's big "acceptable" fads irk me to no end.
ANYWAY, more on topic, I also think you should keep the moldings on. It helps break up a very boring body shape. I do think the B-pillar needs to be black though. It needs to flow with the transition from side window to quarter panel window. Same reason everyone says to paint the mirror body, but not the sail panel. It makes a very abrupt stop in the window shapes.
On the other hand....you have other fingers.

I would keep the moldings, they look fine and don't have to worry about dings as much. Also, i'd paint B-pillar black.
Felt like more opinions the better, but I am pretty much agreeing with everyone else.

yeah, thats what i wanted, the more opinions the better, but everyone seems to agree on keeping them on. sounds good
