Probably an easier swap from an s-10

He doesnt have anything too specific but Id imagine the drivetrain from a single cab short bed S10 would be the closest.

If he does add weight in the back id imagine itll handle like a pickup truck with an empty bed...

I wish there were more pictures. Thats really cool

Being it is the 2200 it would allow a fairly easy swap to a V6 later.

I forget the password to log-on to my CarDomain or I would invite him here to show more.

It's not a bad thing, just really. Why the effort for such a gutless motor? Seems wasted to me.

i'm excited to see somebody do this but staying with a 4 cylinder. most of the rwd cars are v8 swaps which would mean fast in a straight line but it's not going around any corners...

he doesnt have the wrong engine. considering he has the skills and the know how on what hes doing, im sure boost will come into play sooner or later lol. that would make for a fun cav.

holy hell that is extremely badass. i am right here with you strat, ive ALWAYS wanted to see someone do this and retain the stock motor. i could care less if its a 2200. you guys do realize ryan has almost 500whp with his turboed one, dont you?

props to this guy for sure. someone get him on here!

I like it hopefully it gets finished and he makes his way to the org.

that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra
scary to me. There's a large, out-of-focus monster, roaming the countryside.

ill be the first one in the room to hate the LN2... BUT, think about it guys... keep stock hood, keep weight down, TOTAL SLEEPER FROM HELL (with boost of course).

this car could be insane on the drag strip or the road course.

i wonder what trans that is and i wonder how his rear-end is setup...

2200 is a perfect motor. Definite road course car. I knew one day someone would do this some day using using the s10, i mentioned this almost 2 years ago and half of the org has some blah blah blah to say about it

Looks like there is more than enough room for a V8 in there with that configuration. You can stand in front of the motor to work on it. LOL

What else is new the org does this for anything that is out of the norm. Then if the person does do it they talk @!#$ about it till its complete. Just like the guy putting a eclipse motor in a cav.

in all fairness, 2 years ago the j scene would have laughed at you if you said you wanted over 300hp in your cavalier. now we have quite a few members pushing the 500hp envelope and beyond. there's alot more innovation going on as the cars get older and people aren't as afraid to cut them up to do something radical.

Its been done. I saw a "rat rod" Sunfire on eBay with a 350 in it a year or so ago.
