Started the interior work for this year, actually finished some of it already as those who attended Slamology would probably already know.
Removed the air bag door and the defroster outlets.
Started with the dash, A/B pillars, and header trim piece. The bottom is going to be the same is the out side of the car, white/blue pearl. For the second color i chose a dark silver. Took a silver/ pewter color and mixed some black into it. Needed a secondary color for the top since more white would be too much. I think the silver did this without detracting from the overall appearance.
Almost afraid to molest a good 03 dash pad i know i would never find another lol.

nice! how much of a b***h is it to get the bottom out from under the steering wheel?
gotta pull the whole dash out to get that one panel lol, its not that bad tho, i had the dash out in about 40 min. and that was with a stripped out air bad retaining bolt. My 97 GT driver rolled a whole week dashless lol.
Also going to use stainless steel inserts on the door panels and rear quarters. Using a roloc disk to achieve the desired effect, then were going to experiment with coating the metal with just the pearl midcoat and clear to jazz up the roloc 3d type look.

yeah ill have to back it out of the storage unit and get some more pics the ones i took today didnt come out. Removed the rear quarters and started mocking up the 2k console this evening.

the reflection isnt all that bad less than what i thought it would be.
Ill get some pic of the car soon, havent changed anything one the outside however, other than the Wilwood and neon 4 wheel disk swap that happened over the winter.
the silver looks really sharp man. I think more white would have been too much. Those inserts are going to be pretty cool. When are you getting pics of those?

stripped the vinyl and it left behind a strange pink glue lol
These panels were rough, lots of cracks, the vinyl must have held it together. Epoxy was used to repair cracks and tabs.
Also got a start on the console, i lol'd at the foam too its ok.
Pulled it out today and worked the foam to its general shape, going to get some rolocs to finish shaping, get some more pics tomorrow.
Hmm...I'm intrigued...and watching
interior is bad ass. i especially like the pontiac emblem on that aftermarket steering wheel. looks OEM.
