The Z's new idle

Hello all, a couple people wanted to hear my idle with the exhaust hooked up with the oldschool cams in. Its a little choppy and lots of vibrations but I kinda like it. Sounds a lot deeper in real life.

I know its not an idle like a 226 or 224 cam but it seriously does shake the dash.

These are 87 2.3 cams. They have the same duration as the HOs but only .340/.350 lift. I was going for the midrange torque in this engine since it will eventually go into the DD vert. I actually have had all these parts laying around so its kind of a frankenmotor with stock bottom end. Now that the Z is running again after taking off the 086 head I can slowly start on its real engine.

I like it. To bad I only have a tiny .370 exhaust cam in my 02 right now.

Haha I agree but it has a much better tone in person. I recorded this on my cellphone so the tone is waaaaay off.
