i wanted something to hold my seat belts up so they didnt fall down to the ground. so plexi acrylic rod was the answer. Its not completed still some tricks up the sleeve to complete them. I made some fiberglass pods to hold the plexi in place. and used stainless screws and counter sunk them to mount the pods. heres a pic.
also the bar will have a orange l.e.d. in each side to light the bar up
looks like it will be sweet! might be even better if the bar lit up somehow! just a thought

I like the Bar, I like that it will light up...however, i am not a fan of your boat.
FAR from a roll cage, but a neat idea. While I cannot stand the over all style, as long as you do, good for you, the car is full of original ideas and you have put a ton of work into it! Good to see another fairly original idea going into it.
On the other hand....you have other fingers.
Liquor is not a drug John, liquor is not a drug.
not sure how deep those "pods" are but if they're not that deep and if the belts are put under too much pressure......
very neat idea (aesthetically speaking of course)
id love to see this turn into a simple vert roll cage. just basically an A frame. but loving it as is and cant wait to see it w lights
That would be a roll BAR not cage, tabs

Trailered or not, it doesn't fit my taste. I was pretty decent in how I worded it lol.

I dont know why, but it reminds me of the handicap plexiglass handles you see on bathtubs...
I think it looks good, maybe the lights will help it more.
ok what do you guys think if i painted the bezel around the radio, the peices on the end of the plexi, center console, and speaker pods with a satin black finish. and do a little texture to make it a factory look a like finish. Im thinking of doing this to just give the interior a contract between color and material?
Seamless,
If you put a texture on the console/bezel it will throw the look of the car off to me. If contrast is what
you want then that is the way to go. If you want to stay "seamless" mold them all together and smooth them out.
Your call.
