Just a few small updates to start off the season...many more are on their way.
I got tired of having a shaved trunk (no reverse lights SUCKS after a while), so I grabbed another lid, shaved the lock, and just shot a fresh coat of color and clear last night. I'll get some pics on the car later this week once it's installed...
And on a side note, this means the shaved trunk is up for grabs. If you want one, let me know!
Tinkles came to Qwibby's makeover bearing gifts....
Now I just have to track down an Xtreme Tuner rear lip to go with these...with no luck so far...
Also grabbed Qwibby's seats back in February...
My new slut suspension! Koni reds w/ Ground Control Coilovers. In one weeks time these changed hands from Phil, to Dave, then to me! Bodies are a little rough, so I sanded them down and gave them a fresh coat of red (which I still need to get pics of). Also ordered prothane replacements for the lower rear bushings, as well as sleeves for the spring ends from Energy Suspension.
I'll have a few more updates to add in the coming days....
you can order koni replacement poly bushings from prothane?! hood me up with a part number! and what are these spring ends you speak of?

Well, they aren't meant as actual replacements for the konis...I just took measurements and then found something matching in Energy Suspension's selection of universal bushings...still not 100% sure if they will work. As soon as I get them shipped and can compare them side by side, I'll let you know if they are a go!
And
THESE are the coil spring isolators..."style E" at the bottom of the catalog page...just to slide over the ends of the coils where they sit on the mounts to reduce noise when they shift.

No problem man, I actualy have the next few days off for my sister visiting me soo Ill be doing some much needed maintenence to the car lol. If you have time and wouldnt mind coming down its no problem, just trying to limit my driving until I get a turbo >:o

Wow, the trunk looks like it turned out great! Glad you found something in the ES catalogue.
If you haven't installed the suspension yet, adjust the koni's while you can
. At least make sure that they are not on "tull soft", even if it's just a quarter turn or so. From my experience with red's and yellow's, the difference between full soft and a slight turn towards firm is huge for some reason. .
I'm sure phil knows this and already adjusted them accordingly, but the GC's are going to need more damping than full soft or they'll bounce.

actually i toyed with the idea of grabbing those skirts when i got the rear lip... i think they would have been too low with the w-type front though.
