I went Junkyarding

Look what I found

It needs some minor cosmetic work, and only as 14k on it.

I just need a transmission that'll fit now.

I'm going back up today to pick up the ecu, harness, and upper mount. Which reminds me, how far back should I get the wiring harness? Do I cut it at the firewall? Noob question sorry lol.

Yea, I got the whole engine and everything I needed ((except the radiator, tranny, and hoses stuff)) for only $630, plus the trip up to springfield to meet you guys took a bad turn on my engine and it lost alot of power. So, I figured I'd do the swap sooner then later.

Dont cut it. It should all go to a big plug near the firewall.

Nice, but that needs more than a "MINOR" cosmetic work

Good luck with the swap

I only found one problem, I bought a Manual ECU for a auto car...so anyone wanna trade

Or, now with the ECU being a manual, and I still need to but a transmission, should I just buy a clutch and go manual?

I think you need to weld a bracket or something for the manual. And i might have a extra ecu

You can find some pretty good things at the junkyards. Sometimes its fun just to go and see what you can fine.

dont quote me on this but i think the manual ecu can be used in an automatic, just need to change some setting with hptuners (check that info because im not positive on it)

i got my eco with everything needed motor/trans/ecu/harness/rack and pinnion for $400 and it only had 14k miles on it.

Judging by that pic, that engines looks to have way more than 14K miles on it. Did you get a chance to verify with the VIN number from that car?

Sitting in a junkyard? Weathering doesnt care if the damn thing is running

True. But around here cars don't stay longer than a month. That engine looks like it's been in the junk yard for a year or in use for ten, again judging by that pic.

It's been sitting there for three years he said, but said its guaranteed to run, if not I can return it. But I only have 90 days, so I need to find the missing peices asap
