looks like an amazing start for the year.
Sig thanks to bxmobkrazey on gmscf.com
Looks pretty good from the one pic.
Ok, I lied. I got a couple more pics.
Obviously, the front is on and painted.
The shaved lid is now painted, Just needs clear and buffed.
Re-painted the wiper arms, And cleaned the engine bay some. Wasn't too dirty from the winter.
I still want to get a new intake that fits properly, Non-ABS M/C, Re-run the pass. side bar so it matches the angle of the driver's side now that the A/C hoses aren't there, And a few other things.
C&C Welcome
Wow, you really have cleaned this car up alot man. Great job so far.
I will have a Z rear for sale pretty soon if you wanna make the trip to Ontario. Hell, if you make the trip, I will give it to ya.
Youre handing out a free Z in Ontario? Id be down.
And it looks like it matches pretty well sir. Idk why youre bothered by it.
Engine bay looks good other than the support braces going to the front.
FU Tuning
What isn't to like about the front braces? Many vehicles come with them stock.
My question is, did you feel any difference with them?
Paying someone to install parts and bragging about it being fast, is like watching someone bang your wife and being proud to raise their kids.

Thats on my list John, It won't be on the exact same angle because of the alternator, but it will be alot closer.
You can see a little in the last pic I posted Brian, The front is a bit brighter than the body. It drives me nuts lol.
I can't really say that I "feel" anything from them yet as I don't really push this car hard, But triangulation is a key element to chassis stiffening. So I figure why not?
Still need to find an 03+ LS rear and sides. It has Z sides on it right now.
But I'm just glad it's all painted and @!#$. Just wanna find some wheels. Been thinking bronze 95-99 Z wheels. About the same color as the ones on Schulte's old white 'fire.
Who's got some for cheap?

hell no. after 3 sets of stock brackets and grinding, they got close. but not perfect.
hahaa me too man lolol. Those stupid projector housings are humongous and hit the inside where the headlights go.
Anyway, the engine is looking great..

I had the same problems on my 98Z, switched to the one piece projectors & they fit TONS better!

yep, agreed. my clear headlites were also a PITA to fit... i think i spent 4 hours on each side that day.

I completely forgot about the projector housing hitting on the core support. That was fun. I had to massage the metal inward to get them to fit in as far back as they need to go.
I have been thinking about the one pieces, but I think the black and chrome headlight housings tie in the clear corners and nightshaded bumper lights really well.
Polishing compound today. I Might just get the whole car resprayed....I don't like red....
What do you guys think about this color???
Hmm maybe I need to take a hammer to the core support.......
^^That color is sick on that turbo sport
