So how about we rebuild it after the wreck
Friday, August 14, 2009 11:07 PM
well guys as promised we will be rebuilding the race car after our hard wall hit. i got the rear body work off today and started doing i real close up survey of the damage.

although in really bad shape the car needs to be rear clipped but everything is fixable

on a more serious note in the last photo of this post look at how every single pipe in front of the strut towers didnt bend budge or move. the entire rear clip took the impact and caused no damage to the centersection, more importantly the driver took little to no impact on the body from this wreck, now i see why i learned this stuff in college

for people that want to see how the car was built from the ground up they can goto the build thread... here

and the one that shows how strong the car is, remember this car backed in to a 18 inch think concrete wall in the right rear corner at about 50 MPH

Save the charcoal headliner if it's still in decent condition, they're saught after by J owners. They're kind of hard to get ahold of. Looks like it's coming along nicely.

yeah majority of them are tan, and it's kinda rare to get charcoal especially with a sunroof. I wish I could find one locally.

noramlly there are 20-30 cars racing at a time, this car with the right driver has always been on top of its game... the chassis is incredible and power is now pretty good. here is a video from one of our races last year, we started deep in the pack and ahd a new guy driving that was scared of the car so needless to say it doesnt look great in this vid.
