Where to go next...

Alright, well heres my cavy, most everything on the outside minus the decals, headlights, and rims hasnt changed since I bought the car.

Day one,

present date

The main reason the gt rims are on was the wicked deal I got on them with a nice set of tires (old tires were getting bald)... 225's > 195

I really want to get this thing dropped, nicer rims (although it does have a hotwheels look now lol), cf hood, lose the ugly ribbed sides and install my z skirts, and get the thing repainted.
Hopefully a saab turbo setup, or blower setup can sneak its way in there aswell...

I know its kinda funny lookin but by spring I hope to have it looking much nicer.,,,

Ideas?

had a blown ecotec swapped 2000 cavy, now just an 02 Grand Am, and a 74 BMW 2002...

Not too bad, like said lose the sides, decal on hood(wtf is it??lol), drop it and it will look 10x better. Also if your keeping the gt wheels for a while I say paint them, gunmetal would look good.

Lose the heart and Ecotec decals on the hood, and the sides (like you already mentioned), and drop it. The rims look fine on it, but the drop will make a big difference.

why does everyone with an ecotec slap huge stickers all over their car to display it?

Every time I scream "Release", I mean it, you know it. I feel the day. Black 7.

huh?
why does 1 out of every 500 people with an Ecotec slap a huge sticker on their car and then people say everyone does it?
(because they are jealous)

do what you said and it will look better, but i think those rims look gay lol. 3 spokers never look good. but lose the stickers for the time being.

I don't really think the GT wheels flow with the car. Like everyone else said, get rid of the decal, lower, and those ribbed sides gotta go. Other than that though its a solid base, i look forward to see what you do with it.

The decals aren't my cup of tea but if you like them then go for it.

Losing those ribbed sides will be good, as well as your sideskirts. A drop would be my recommendation for a next step. Keep us updated!!

For some reason, I don't think those sides look too bad; I say just drop it and get front and rear lips.

X2 100%

I would get rid of the heart, but i don't mind the ecotec sticker. It is in a good spot.

Drop would dramatically improve, and i think clear corners would too.

So close to being golden.

Thanks guys, yeah I think im gonna leave the crap on the hood til I buy a cf turbo sport hood.

The side effects were the only car I seen them on til I drove it the day I got it, low and behold some out of towner drove right by me with the same color car, same rims, same hood, and sideskirts... definately a wierd moment. Not sure if I would ever run anything other than a type w lip and a 03 ls rear bumper (GOD THATS A SEXY BUMPER).

After the drop and hood I'd probably be looking for a set of rims and tires but honestly, I have no clue what to go for. I will have to start photoshopping some rims... gotta be something like a gunmetal or black, maybe even a dark bronze.

The signals and headlights have to get replaced so I think I might just order the blacked out set off ebay and re-mad-tyte-jdm'ize the signals lol.

thanks for the input guys...

heres a few other pics when I had underglow lol was a ricers delight

Car has potential. Keep working. It will get there.

The heart transplant decal would look better on the UNDERSIDE of the hood though.
