New toy!

Yep!! I picked up this 97 sunfire GT off one a fellow member of jbo ( joeydabomb) ! Witch i think he bought off another jbo member but im not sure.
So if anyone knows any info on this car.. post up!! I dont know much about its history.






And other updates. i traded my 99 z24 to a bike witch traded the bike for the sunfire! lol

theres a ton of them up here

it seems like there is more 5spds in fires then cavs up here

joey pulled the old 2.4/2.2 hybrid trans out because the 3 gear syncro was going out.. im going to have that trans rebuilt.. so it just has a stock 5 speed trans in her now.. . i wish joey didnt sell the spec 2 clutch and flywheel.. lol

If it didn't have them already, put the real Isuzu synchos and diff in it when you rebuild.
You'll have one hell of a trans that way.

Nice score on the car. Best looking years of the J were 95-99 IMO, Cav or Fire.

ill remember that when it gets rebuilt.. id do it myself but i dont know much about trans. but ill back that trans up with a good clutch and flywheel combo~

The car is LiquidPlasma's old car on here and yes it does have a speed density pcm (http://www.j-body.org/forums/read.php?f=64&i=9957&t=9957#9957). Enjoy it man.

Watch the 97 speed density computer.....it is not like a 00-02 speed density computer. It is missing a VERY important table for boost.

hmm i dont know I never see 5 spd Sunfires in the Central Florida area, Ive only seen one!! And it was at a junk yard lol!
