I have "redline" struts on my cavalier that I got from Jason at Aplusperformance.......................years ago in a group purchase.
Same end result.

I'd love to do this little mod myself but ain't got the guts to buy the kit and drill the holes. Thats the only part I am worried about. Drilling a hole and then finding out it ain't right. I seen a kit on ebay for our cars but does it show where the holes gotta be drilled or measurements?

yeah you can buy a kit but how much does the kit cost i, i will bet anyone 100 dollars there kit cost more then mine.
i will get closer pics later i will be welding these on to the stock hinge basicly to make an extension of the hinge. i wont be doin that until i put my new doors on.
yess the motor is purdy i just got the car aligned after installing the springs its alignment was out from day 1 of owning it, now its more fun to drive sinvce it hugs corners better

you sir were my inspiration to hit the yard today. i ended up with struts from a 92 z34 lumina,
which i think are almost the same as the cutlass.
thanks and good job, your car and the struts look great

If I remember correctly I believe we spend something like $50 shipped. With full easy to read instructions.
Worth it to me.

congrates 50 shipped and bolt on for those that don't fabricate anything, mine were free top that, all i had to do was screw in the top plate to the hood and cut the stock cutlass hinge and bolt it on with som minor fabricating
i bet i have 2 dollars in mine that includes the wear and tear on my tools and the hydro to charge my cordless drill.
but yeah some work people but only too me about 20 minutes once you get 1 done the other side is a mirrow image

Very cool. I plan on doing this with the Beretta once it has a hood that doesn't look like someone took a sledge hammer to it.
