Updates on the bucket
Monday, May 11, 2009 12:25 PM
Haven’t driven the car too much lately. I also had to do some work to the kit after some damage.

This is what the car looked like for the past couple weeks. I modified the kit slightly and just put it back on the car this morning. Unfortunately there are only driveway pics with the kit back on, but I am having issues with my neon rear discs. I think one of the calipers is sticking and needs to be rebuilt. I’ll probably tear into that stuff later in the week. I added a few parts, like a zzp 3.1 pulley and an LZM upper mount with solid bushings. I don’t know why I didn’t swap pulleys sooner, it was a complete day and night difference with how the car drives.

The car is starting to slowly resemble my old cav

Man the car looks mint. If I had gone a kitted route rather than an LS Sport route, your car is exactly how mine would have looked. Perfect kit, perfect color, perfect head/tail combo and the rear you put on flows nicely with the TRD kit. I think it looks awesome with the LSS spoiler on it, but get a pic at the same angle as the 6th and 7th ones with the TRD spoiler and compare that way, I would love to see the difference.

On the other hand....you have other fingers.

Hey man I've got a similar setup. Any PSI gains in boost since the pulley swap?

You should make the side skirts functional and have them duct to the rear brakes..haha

Really though..I love everything about your car, so clean.

I Love your car.
And you have very good taste in kit's, wheels, ect.

I'm sad to see you change it up so often but it always turns out mint.

Two thumbs wayyy up Sir.

I <3 this car, even without the sexy JDM stuff. But I must say the TRD kit and spoiler really make this car

Nice! About time you dropped to a smaller pulley, you still on the reflash?

And how do the solid bushings in the upper mount feel? Ive got my lzm mount with rubber bushings ready to go in, was just kinda scared about the vibes being auto and all.

I'm 50/50 right now on putting the wing back on. It will most likely go on for the trip to the bash, that is, if I my request for those days off is approved. Not looking good right now

Shane Reid wrote:Hey man I've got a similar setup. Any PSI gains in boost since the pulley swap?

I saw 9psi with the stock pulley and now I see 12psi with the 3.1. Boost comes on faster and the car just goes. I should have swapped them a long time ago. Butt dyno approves, tires don't like the extra power

It was a last minute decision while I was fixing some other stuff and I'm so glad I did it

Still on the reflash, no issues whatsoever. I haven't noticed any additional vibrations from using the solid bushings. Then again, I'm used to the whole car rattling and shaking, so I probably wouldn't notice anyway lol

Todays project is to take a look at the rear discs and then see what I can do about making a trip out to MI for the JBOM BBQ thats coming up rather quickly
