Picked up some new parts for my winter build. Next season I will be running Jeremy's (skilz10179) bottom end with a stock head, current cams, and current turbo setup. Shooting for 15psi for the daily summer grind. If funds come correct I will also build up the ported head I purchased from him, yet I wont mind saving that for next winters project. Anyways, heres some pics of the parts. Block is still in the back of my Escort so no pictures yet. To sum up the build, it will consist of Wiseco 9:1 compression pistons, Eagle H-beam rods, 2.3 oil pump swap, removed balance shafts, tapped for proper turbo oil return line, bored .040, Miller Performance oil pan (recoated in red), ARP head studs along with main studs, and Cometic head gasket. As the engine sits right now.. It needs to be disassembled and cylinder #3 needs to be sleeved from the damage caused when he dropped a valve. Then reassemble and swap will happen! Im excited. Thought I would share a bit. Enjoy.
Dont worry... the IDI cover will become red when I have stuff powdercoated.. Oh and yeah... Thats the OG 2.4TC HO cover... BETTER RECOGNIZE YO!

just the other day i was thinking where the hell have you been and what have you been up to...
glad to see your still in the game bigger then ever! also glad to see all of those skillz parts going to such a good home. so is he done with his car, or...???
and DAMN the exhaust ports on the head are massive! build her up!
Sex.
Ill be copying and doing pretty much the same build this winter
now that is a work of art!
Lanman31337 -F = fatties = do not want. A little chunk in the junk is ok though.
sweet!
so I see skilz's pretty much done?
Sadly yes. Jeremy is done with his Cavalier. I hate to see it happen. Its been my inspiration since day one. I couldn't let these big pieces go to waste on anyone elses car! Had to snatch them up and somehow try to carry on his legacy!
I really really really wanna do the head this winter, but then that means new turbo also. Mabye, mabye not. Time will tell.
I will use this for update along the winter when progress happens. Right now im strugging to figure out a way to remove the engine from trunk of the Escort without a cherry picker.. Guess its time to borrow one! Bitch is heavy!!
