One More S/C'd J-body in Ontario
Tuesday, July 08, 2008 12:47 AM
Well, its about time I posted some pics. Ive had this installed for just over a week now, and I have loved every second of it! Boost is amazing! There is no other way to describe it! Id like to thank Zac for helping me with the install. Anyways, on with some pics.

The day it arrived:

In the process of install:

All cleaned up:

Now, I still have some minor things to do to it (ie. new intake, shorten throttle cable, hide boost gauge line, etc.), so dont freak out about them

I have also been looking in to a smaller pulley, and also a meth injection kit. I just have a couple of questions about them...
A-How small of a pulley can I go without needing to do any internal mods to the engine? (some say 2.6", others 2.7")
B-Can the meth kit be run to the nipple that is on the throttle body itself?

Thanks for you help, and C&C are always welcomed!

That sunfire looks amazing, VERY good work.. and thanks for the new Background !

I had a buddy use 2.6 pulley running on stock internals for a while and everything was fine till I bought the SC and sold it for my turbo lol

nope, every port or 'nipple' on their is used by something that needs vacuum.

your best bet is to by an ebay throttle body spacer and do the meth from there. Very nice GT! You don't see many of them around much, all the Z24's get the glory

Where in Ontario do you live? I'm in Kitchener. Haven't seen your car around before.

Very nice sunfire!.. enjoy the boost

Get a TB spacer and run the meth kit to the spacer... I run a 2.7, you may run into belt slippage with a 2.6 if you run the normal s/c belt.

With the S/C kit the nipple on the TB the FPR uses gets plugged IIRC, and the FPR reading comes from a nipple on the blower itself.

As for running the meth into it, definately not. The meth kit uses an "injector" to form it into a nice mist/fog. Some have fabbed up TB spacer plates for such, or just risk damage to a couple TB sensors and run it into the intake.

How do you intend to shorten the throttle cable?

Thanks for all the comments guys!

more pics here: Cardomain Site

I know that if I went with a 2.6" pulley, that Id need a smaller belt....I just wanted to know if internals needed to be done, or if it is strongly recommended to do it?

Thanks for the info on the meth kit as well. I'll be keeping my eye out for a TB spacer

And, yes, as for the throttle cable, I just have to mount the bracket for the cruise control. I wouldnt cut it, lol, dont worry
