Unfortunately, This is the only fender I could find even semi close to my house..Should I just leave it maroon, or do it up in some flat black primer?

leave it til you get it painted. dont make more work for the shop that is going to paint it.

Thats the thing, It won't (unless I win the lottery) ever get painted by a professional, Forgot to add that..
The car only cost me $200, and has enough rust that it is only going to last me another 2-3 years
leave it as is then... and whenever you goto a yard just poke around... took me 8 months to find a fender that matched and was in good condition...
Leave it that color, who cares.

here's a thought.... get some more of that awesome spray paint you used on your handles and do it YOURSELF.
you did a nice job on the handles im sure you could get it done on the fender as well.

I'm considering...never used that stuff on a large scale (only mirrors, handles, interior bits)
