Just got the car in the fall, not much done to it yet, there will be more at some point though.
Any Suggestions? Comments? Ect...
Good starting point
My preferences would to be lose the big muffler cannon
Get some nice rims and rubber and a drop
Thats where i would start
But to each their own
About how much would I typically be looking at to lower it? I know rims and tires totally vary on the company and size. Seems like a lot of people are run 18's. I would defiantly not really be looking to have to do any body modifications to get them to fit.
Thanks for the input keep it coming!
just get 16-17 inch rims and kuhmo ASX tires, now it ur lookin to lower it the best thing to do is get KYB AGX's with eibach sportlines or get tokico d-specs which will run u around 700 for the tokico's and as for the AGX's and sportlines it varies according to where u buy them from.

You don't want to put AGX's with Eibach Sportlines, you would only want to pair AGX's with Eibach Pro-Kit springs. The Sportlines would be too much of a drop for the AGX's. You could do Koni Yellows or Tokio D-Specs with the sportline springs though...
oh, i meant pro-kits. dur what was i thinking lol.

It can handle the drop but not recommended and the warranty is voided if they blow. Ive been on agx and sportlines for 2yrs and no problems
Glow shifts
i think the tinted series look better though

Those are the tinted series, there is too much flash in the picture. ha ha
no i mean just the tinted, those are the black tinted 7 color series.

Oh, sorry I misunderstood. You are correct they are the black tinted seven colour series.
What are you planning to do? I think you should keep it subtle.
these... 03+ stock 16" rims
with a drop, and tinted windows. Then make it a little faster, intake, header, exhaust, maybe turbo or supercharger if you want it. Then you're set.
I defiantly do like the subtle look. Those rims look pretty sweet, I was contemplating black or smoked rims, and keeping everything black and red. And I absolutely want to tint my windows. Only problem with that being in Ontario it is "technically" illegal to have the front windows tinted. In the summer I will defiantly be getting an intake. Maybe look into some other performance upgrades when I have to money, superchargers and turbos are a little out of my price range at this point.
Thanks for the input, keep it coming
u can get a cheapo intake off ebay, although its cheap it doesnt mean its crap. as long as it is a aluminum tubing with a filter at the end its an intake but id suggest changing out the filter they send with it for a K&N. hmmmmmm what else can i suggest to a fellow j-bodier. oh get a header from pacesetter, bolt those up, get 2.5" stainless steel tubing, magnaflow high-flow cat, hell throw on a resonator on there if its too loud and then a vibrant performance muffler. now as for the turbo and supercharger if u have a auto then there is not relle any point in a turbo. as for myself im saving all i can to buy a pacesetter header full 2.5" exhaust then at the end of the year i file tax return and bam, get a GM M45 supercharger if i have enough. well thats all i can think of right at the moment. good luck to u and the fire.

Thanks for the help, I am pretty new into all this and just trying to learn as much as I can. I have been trying to find cheaper intakes. The only one I ever see is the AEM one and just like you said its piping with a filter on the end of it. I have seen lots for older models but not too many for a 2.2 ecotec Sunfire. As for the turbo, mine is an manual so the turbo is not way out of the question, i just need to do a lot of research on that. I am not positive but from what I have read superchargers seem to be a little more reliable and require a little bit less fine tuning and what not.
Thanks for all of the great input I really appreciate it
I really love the look of that rear in black. I loved it so much, I put it on my 96! I'm keeping mine fairly simply outside, the only thing that wont be stock from a sunfire is going to be the evil eyes. Im putting in a LD9, and maybe some boost from a M45

lol
Ha ha yeah, the guy I got the car off had those on it. Not a fan of how they look but they were practically brand new. When I get some rims they will defiantly be replaced.
