Well from my post regarding my trunk setup I was talking about the car show that is going on this weekend (Feb 8-10) in Toronto called Speedorama.
We got a heavy snow storm the other day and I was afraid the roads would be too bad to drive the car down to and I thought I would miss out. However I went out today and the roads were looking pretty good. I decided to get things ready and drove down to the show.
One winter shot
I drove a little bit higher today, but that's okay, didn't want to hit any snow patches on the way down.
When I was driving down my friend said we're parking on the upper floor of the building.
Okay I thought, not biggie...I'll just drive up the ramp.
...
.......
............
................
Looks like they don't have any ramps to get to the 2nd floor:
you can see the banners along the railing to where the car goes to.
Not everyday this happens so I had to take some pics of it
After cleaning the car off and waxing her down she finally rests ready for the show.
Mike, I know you wanted a pic of the tv enclosure under the lid:
I will take a lot of pics in the next few days of the cars at the show as well.
Can anyone help me with this?
After we parked our cars, we decided to change up our positions slightly for who's parking where and how we're parking, so after about 4 times of re-parking our cars we found our resting place. However by the 3rd time I went to move my car, I got out to take a look at how it sat and I said "okay, it looks good, I'll turn the car off and park it here". But then my friend AJ said..."ummm Vince, your car just turned off by itself". I went to the car and had to re-start it. The the car started to chug like it needed fuel. (I have half a tank right now). With the car in park it revs at 2000, and just chugs like it needs fuel. I got out of the car as it chuged, and the engine rocked pretty badly like it was missfiring...
Any IDEAS? I'm going to keep testing it out and talking to people to try to solve the problem. I had no issues with the drive down, it only started to do this after about the 3rd or 4th time starting the car while re-parking it for show.
i love you.
about the motor problem, my car did something like that once. i drove it just fine the night before, i go out in the morning to start it and it did like what you described, then shut down and wouldnt start up. turns out my fuel pump took a dump.

I'm with this guy
about the engine....umm...dunno? check your grounds
I'd check the coil pack housing too and ICM, its definitely either spark of fuel according to my wicked obvious powers of deduction, might as well start at the easy points.
edit: car looks fuggin retardedly amazing, just keeps getting better everytime I see it, much to the point that I forget to even comment about it at first because I have to hold up my jaw with one hand.
Love it dude, just need some big ass brakes to make those dubs look fully at home.

i love you too....that is one sexy sexy j!
check the inertia switch for your fuel pump. since they lifted your car with the tow motor, it could have set the switch off. just reset it.
Thanks for the input so far guys.
I'm going to head down to the show pretty soon and I'll start to take a look at the spark plugs firstly. Good thing the show lasts until Sunday evening
.
I'll grab more pics after day one of three of the 11 hr days...oh boy.

About the motor, could be fuel pump, could be icm, coil packs etc... How many miles on the car?

Also check the vacuum line to the map sensor, sound exactly like what mine did when they came unhooked.
Plus that's an easy start.
how freaked out were you when you were on the fork truck lmao. I'll be there tomorrow most of the day I'll brign some girls by for some pics as requested above lol

We have a winner!!!!!!! Sounds exactly like that. Also check the hose for cracks where it connects to the map sensor. Over time the hose gets in bad shape, and if cracks and lets air in it wuill do this.

This is my first thought as well as mine has come of before and cuased a similar problem.
The car is looking hotter than hot. One of my favorites for sure.
FORGET GIRLS GONE WILD WE HAVE GOVERNMENT SPENDING GONE WILD!
BUT, if it was JUST the MAP, the car wouldn't just turn itself off... Ive had 2 bad fuel pumps recently and after driving my car on both occasions the car would turn itself off just like Vince is experiencing.. Then after a while of sitting, the car would start back up fine because the pump has cooled off...
But all points mentioned are still good things to check just in case.

There is many things that can cause the car to shut off, bad TPS. I have seen the map sensor hose cause the car to surge up to 2k and down and in the process shut off. I have seen bad fuel pumps shut the car off, but not raise the RPMS as he stated.
