Finally took the motor apart and....

As some of you may have saw in my previous post http://www.j-body.org/forums/read.php?f=46&i=316096&t=316096#316096
The motor blew and I had 3 holes in the block. I finally have the car up and running now with the new 04 motor in there but Today was such a nice day I decided why not take a look and see what happened.





Hmm why is that chain not connected?



Lets open it and see


also look to the right of the timing chain....


Now onto the goods. It was obvious A Rod was thrown so lets check out the block....







and no I did not position the piston that way.......

thanks bro, yea shes up and running had a few issues with the swap but its all good now.

Yea I have a few more pictures of the balance shafts I think you guys should see as well. I still am confused at how the @!#$ blew. The last time Ive seen a piston topple like this was on a dsm.
