Winter mode makes my heart sad. Anyway got her all ready for the impending snow and thought I would snap a couple pics after her bath.

There has been a small change that I am very happy about lets see who can figure it out.

Thanks for Looking!

I have been there once to pick up my seats but other than that no. I got my hood and motor mounts from him. There was an issue with shipping on the hood not his fault at all and he gave me a store credit so i used it to get the visor and his sticker, he was so nice about everything even though it wasn't his fault I thought I would give him some support.

And I really like the way it looks with the stock hood, first time its been on with the amber corners and headlights painted. I was going to leave the CF on but I am going to have it repainted with regular glossy clear instead of the flat. Also putting off taking off the front bumper and putting the old non-lipped one on, having the bumper painted as well, its only rattle canned now. I am also debating if I should paint the sides of the CF hood silver. What do you think?

Im lovin this car man.

Makes me excited for spring, lol, hoping to have some JDM goodies installed of my own.

BTW, I think Toyota Tails would just complete your car so much more then the fake c/f Altezzas.

personally I am liking the look of your car the way it is right now other then maybe have the stock wheels in black, maybe try a photoshop and see, but I think that would just look awesome, leave the cf hood off lol the handles looks great and evreything just flows nicely

I love your car and enjoy every post you put up that involves it!

I agree that the Toyo tails would look good on my car but I really don't want to pay $200 for tail lights, and the current ones cost me $20, so they will be staying.

Megatron, WOW thanks a lot! I seriously thought about leaving the stock hood on and selling the CF then I remembered that thanks to a storm on my wedding day my stock hood looks like a golf ball. Thats why I got the CF. I have thought many times about painting the stockeys but just never have, maybe I will.

Thanks!

your very welcome! I now have a couple new desktops

Im thinking about attempting to open my headlights and paint the inside and then after that cut holes in my fenders for the yota blinkers, I am very leary on doing both because of possible !#@& ups lol but I know without sacrifice there is no gain

again love the car!!

btw do the blinkers go on with the fat part of them towards the front? and the thin part near the door?

I put the blinkers on with the fat pat towards the front and skinny towards the door, like you said, I never checked what way they were supposed to go i just like them better that way. I was very nervous about doing the lights and side markers too, but I just quit thinking about possible mistakes and just did it and took my time and they both turned out great, you can do it!

I also like the way the stock wheels look, but hate the way the car handles with the bubble tires. There is no feedback through the steering wheel and it feels like there is a time delay in what I do to when the wheels turn, not to mention how bouncy it is.

I am also loving the painted handles, i wish I would have done it a long time ago!

Thanks!

I just noticed.. You dont have a gasket on the marker lights do you?

I also put the fat part forward, Its the only way the fenders would allow them to be mounted.

I also have been debating for like 2 years on painting the sides of the hood. Im still undecided. Mabye I will wait and see how yours turns out.

Something along those lines.

WOW man you said the front bumper is rattle canned? you cant even tell very nice, and yes maybe do a photoshop with the hood first but I have always thought that the OEM cf hood would look nice if the lines are followed on the hood painted silver like jay has it taped off, BTW does anyone have any pics of the process of doing the blinkers or even a fender without the light in it, just so I can get the idea of what the hole looks like, I have that template but I would rather see the actual hole in the fender before I start cutting

leave it just like that!

Lanman31337 -F = fatties = do not want. A little chunk in the junk is ok though.

Wow I didn't think a stock cav with some painted lights and sidemarkers would get such good remarks, but I will be changing the hood and putting the 18s back on after winter, sorry.

Megatron, yes it is rattlecan I can tell in some of the pics(only because I did it). It kind of Zebra striped a little in some spots but over all it looks pretty good. I do not have have any process pics of cutting out the holes so I can not help you out.

Qwik, that is exactly what I am thinking about doing. I have also been debating this since I got the hood. But now that I will have the silver paint and redoing the hood anyways this would be my perfect chance. I will do up a chop when I get home and post it up!

thanks!

Looks very good like that. I like the 18's better, especially since you painted the accents, but I bet the factory rims would look really good on your car if they were gunmetal, maybe with the inner part flat black. I'm sure you're not going to be spending the time modding your winter rims, but I just think it would go very well with your car. I like the stock hood better than the CF, and I agree with the Toyo's as mentioned above. Very nice car in summer OR winter mode.

I am really digging this. I am now seriously considering this!

Thanks!

Only problem i see is the straight lines. If you make them follow the subtle hood body line it would be mucho better.

I say do it.
