Need some opinions
Monday, November 12, 2007 2:15 PM
Ok I need some opinions.... (yes i know the grill is ugly, its coming off when I get off my lazy ass assuming theres not a rediculous amount of holes in the bumper form mounting it)

1st... the Rota's on the silver cav.... I'm debating weather or not to keep them, its not quite the same without the cf hood anymore. I'm dabting about just going back to LS Sport chrome wheels.

2nd.... the cf invader hood with the eyelids.... should I keep it (and obviously have the silver painted tan to match) or go with a new OEM CF hood, Its getting a CF trunk as well but I'm having mixed thoughts now thats its on the car, it kinda looks wierd with base model bumpers, no lips or anything. So I'm debating on if I should keep it or just let it go and move on.

and finally... I usually throw this crap in a box when it comes (I actually found another box full after taking this picture) But if I install all these how fast will it make my car?

1. Keep the Rotas, they look good.

2. How about sanding the silver paint off the hood to show the c/f again and have the whole thing re-cleared.

3. Send me all those stickers so i can add them to the sticker wall in my garage, seriously.

That many stickers should officially put you in the 11s. As for the rest, I think the Rotas still look good, maybe a black bowtie on the front bumper or subtle pinstripe could tie them in better?

As for the hood, that's totally a judgment call, I think an oem cf hood and trunk lid painted gay tan would be the way to go, maintain the sleeper gaytanness of it.

Why is there a sticker with a bra prohibited?

He can't sand down the hood again cause it has added eyelids on the hood. duh... j/k

If you decide to sell the wheels, i'll buy em.

But yeah, OEM hood for GTC would be superior, get on the CF-Tec Group Purchase. only $350 for the hood.

Re: Need some opinions

Definitely keep the Rotas on there, they look a lot better than the chrome ones (I'd go for the rotas over stock anyday). And for the GTC, I say go with the OEM look c/f hood. I don't think the invader looks good on there with the base model bumpers and the oem c/f makes it look more suitable for racing instead of show. I say keep tryin to sell the hood, it will sell eventually (or put it back on the silver cav). And I would only put the stickers on there if you get something out of it like a sponsorship/discount. Otherwise I say no.

the hood has to have paint to cover the body work done to mold the eyelids in

and the stickers are gonna be used to turn my fridge into a highly tuned cold making monster

there is not a chance in hell all the stickers are going on the car, I would put a brick on the gas pedal and sed it into a wall then burn whats left before stickering the @!#$ out of it LOL

I did find someone to buy the hood but when I decieded I was gonna go with the portfueler its moves the piping away enough where the hood would fit just fine, but after seeing it on the car I'm leaning more towards selling it.

leave the rotas on
leave the hood on(paint match of course)
leave the stickers off

hood looks different in a good way with the toyo fenders and doesn't look bad at all with base bumper.. plus u already have the hood mise use it. or just give it to me.

alright Rota's are staying, hood is going, stickers are going on the fridge

with that said everyone who keeps saying they want the hood, heres your chance...

There is a GP for CF hoods right now, I'll sell the hood for the cost of a OEM one shipped from the GP.... (the hood is a VIS CF invader, with one of kind eyelids made form scratch and molded in and painted to hide the body work, with the cost of the brand new hood shipped plus body work and paint its about $1200 into it)

i like the idea of a stock CF hood on the GTC. should give a non showy, functional look to that car . its a nice hood to let go though. hope it goes to someone good

i thought u already sold that hood? i say don't put it on the gtc. put oem cf and paint it. you've kept it looking stock so far so keep it up. and i like the rotas better on the gtc, but that's just my opinion. as for the stickers, definitely on the fridge, and if you could mount a giant wing on it and lambo the freezer door it'd be PIMP!

Re: Need some opinions

sell me the rotas, and sell the hood, get a new oem CF hood painted to match..

its a race car dude, no need for theatrics
