Performance wise it does not need a bigger intercooler at this point. You are running low boost fed from a properly sized turbo maybe even slightly on the bigger side. A bigger intercooler would be hard to fit with the stock bumper and would cuase your car to have more boost lag. I would highly reccomend leaving the intercooler alone for now. If you changed up the routing of your charge pipes you could have a much better flowing system. I would highly recomend using the HO 2.3 manifold. It will also look alot hotter with it. I have got the HO manifold with throttle bodie and the 1995 2.3l z24 throtle cable bracket you need to do the swap. I will even ship it to you for free. All you need then is the fontana adapter so the shape of the ports lines up smoothly.
I know in time you will get some good looking rims. Almost anything is better than those rims performance wise. They do a good job of showing off the brakes though.

wow so much indirected info it makes me sick.
a bigger intercooler would not create any more lag period, that thing is closer to a bottleneck then anything, if he opened it up he could see less lag depending on the endtank and fmic style. That looks to be a bar and plate design (the better of the 3). I had a JRC 7 inch in my car without ANY fitment issues, there again you are incorrect. Just about as easy as you said it is to achieve 270+ whp on an m45
it looks amazing man, My next cav will look a lot similiar. A bigger intercooler could only help but if youre not going for serious power its not that big of a deal, but damn that car is killer

I did not give any incorrect information or "indirected" as you called it. By the way next time you want to open up your mouth you might want to use words that actually exist so you do show us what a tool you are. I know more about that car than you ever will. I will make you look stupid if you wish to press issue. Now that we have got that out of the way. Considering he is only seeing 8 psi on an otherwise stock engine he is not flowing enough air to warrant a need for a bigger intercooler. Common sense tells us that the more space the air has to travel thru before reaching the combustion chamber the longer it will take to get there.
I am not going to argue with you about how much effect it will have on lag because to be honest he might not even be able to tell the difference. I guees I should have said depending on the intercooler used and where it is mounted and what bumper you use and if it has foglights ect it may or may not fit without modification. Jusat bcause it fit on yours does not mean it will fit with his bumper and where his is mounted ect..
Lets not forget he would most likly need to do work to the pipes to get them fit plus the cost of the intercooler. That same money could be used elsewhere on the car and get a bigger gain. But then again you hardly know anything about this car so you would not know where that would be.
Oh and please find somwhere where I said the M45 is capable of 270+whp. Thats right you can't because I never said that.
