Mirrors go in...mirrors go out
Monday, October 15, 2007 6:11 AM
I picked up a set of Toyota Mirrors from TRD Cav Fire (Awsome, awsome guy to deal with, went above and beyond to help me out, right down to packing each piece up in bubble wrap and styrofoam chips so nothing got damaged!) a few weeks ago and finally got them installed and wired.

On to the pics! btw, I know my front bumper needs to be repainted, but those are the breaks when you do Solo 2 and cream a few cones on a cold day. I'll be repainting that next Spring when the car comes out of storage.

Thanks again TRD Cav Fire - Love the look and the power lock/fold in is sweet!

Qwik2k2z24 - Thank bro - How is Karo making out with your order? Can't wait to get the new suspension!

Jazer {AzulKav} Turbo Chica - lol GOLD!

Bill Soper - I mounted mine in the centre console. My car does not have power windows, so I went and got a power window filler panel, chopped it up and mounted my power mirror switch along with 2 other switches in there. If you ask me, if looks clean and factory looking. I'll take some pics when I get home from work for you.

Eternal - Thanks bro - Loving your car - Rims look hot!

Looks great Steve! Thanks for giving me yet another idea for my own silver Sedan .

I'm also curious to see where you mounted the switch. Also, has the glass been switched out or is it still the same glass they used in Japan?

Well I'm really glad someone that had a Silver 4dr picked them up. I would of hated to see the money I spent to get them painted go to waste. They look so good, and I can't wait to get yet another set for my other Z now. I can't wait to see the switch installed also. Seems like you are doing them right. Enjoy those, and thanks again for doing what you are for me. I would love to get these rims sold.

J TO ENVY - Those are true JDM mirrors. They have not been swamped, and I really don't see why they ever should be. It takes some time to drive with them, but really it just makes you check your blind spots just like should always before doing anything.

They come in black from the factory, all you need to do it get a set & paint them.

Yes, it's my REAL car. No, it is NOT photoshopped or "this is how my car will look someday". It's the REAL DEAL.

J TO ENVY - LOL Anytime! I love them, the look and the folding action is pretty trick. It has been raining for 3 days straight now, BUT it looks like it is clearing off now. I'll get some pics when I get off and post 'em up! I still have the original glass from Japan in them. It was a little tricky getting used to, but I haven't had any issues. After having CrAPC mirrors before, these are 100 million times better.

TRD Cav Fire - Thanks for all the trouble you went through to get these to me bro, really appreciate it! I am getting the small hairline fixed over the winter, I just wanted to get them mounted and wired up so come the spring, I can just pop them back on and go. can't wait to see updated pics of the Z! I'll keep you posted on my buddies with regards to your wheels.

McManus - Kevin is dead on - They come black and you paint them any colour you want. Deffinently a nice addition to any J.

Kevin Ritcher - Car looks sweet, love that sig! lol

Hey all,

The weather is still crap, but it was bright enough to snap a decent pic. Excuse the mess the car is in, I haven't been able to vaccum it for 6 days now... I hate the rainy season...

Anyways, here is the switch plate I made. It started life as a plate for a sedan with power windows. I chopped it up, made a filler plate that the switches sit in and attached it to the factory piece. It's not perfect as I used contact cement to attatch the plastic and it ran. So, I am going to take it out before I store the car and refab it over the winter.

C&C welcome!

Luke - Thanks man.

ThumpnCav98 - No worries man - You don't need a modified car to race. We get alot of stockers out there and it's a fun class to race in. I used a /06 Subaru Imprezza for the first event of the year and ran in stock class. Deffinently try and get out, you'll be hooked!

Chris - heh, thanks!
