so i was on my way out to sport compact here in pei when i heard this loud thumping noise and then a big one and a crap load of coolant all over my window. i was like what the hell just happend so i pulled over to see my engine sitting side ways with my upper coolant hose off the engine.. the top upper mount was snaped off and my tranny mount was there with no bolts all stripped out..earlier in the summer the tranny bolts striped out and broke a peice of the transmission case off so i had a local shop weld a piece on so that was the part that broke off...here are some pic











oh and they said that it wasnt my fault so they aren't going to charge me to fix again

i broke a motor mount the 2nd week i had my car a little over a year ago. I know the feeling lol

wow that sucks....its weird thou i have over 100,000 miles on my eco and no motor mount failure here



sounds like its time for a upgrade

Any pictures of the transmission mount that broke?

Personally, I'd have the housing replaced. I don't think I would feel comfortable after the first attempt failed. If you do, keep in mind the transmission has an aluminum housing, so make sure they are using the proper welding techniques/materials.

The OEM one broke, other members stated to "upgrade" to the Turbo Tech Racing one. It is stronger

ya i no it really suck two weeks without my car. i dont have pics of the transmission right now but the welds they did the first time looked like bubble gum they
didnt even fues together.. im putting rk sport mount on as soon as the cars out of the shop..just waiting for shipment

ick , they are called rk crappy for a reason

im even pulling the rk upper in my g/fs cav for a turbo tech upper mount


sucks that it happened , id seriously replace the trans , you can find good low mile 1's around 300-600

go with turbotechracing. Trust me you won't regret it

yea i went to turbotechracing and i like the prices.. as for replacing the tranny iv looked everwhere they want 800+ for one around here

I have TTR upper, lower, and tranny mounts on my vert and they are awesome

rk crappy mounts are just lame in comparison


had them on my eco and the quality is no were near the same

rk sport lower is ok considering it is way more reasonable in price then ttr lower but the upper is not to much more then rksports.


plus i think the group purchase on the mounts are still goin?

Yeah the sale only has a couple more days...

Ill vouch for the TTR upper, new TTR lower, control arm bushing, trans bushing, and hopefully soon the K brace... very nice and he can powder coat almost any color
