Well I've contacted a body shop and on Wednesday I'm driving down to have them take a look at the car and price out the paint job for me.
A few things will change with the paint.
1). I might not do the airbrushing, and might just keep it strickly blue and silver.
2). The silver color will be changed to a darker and more deeper gunmetal.
3). The blue strip at the side of the trunk will be gone. I'm going to have the shop match the gunmetal to the top corner of the trunk lid.
I have most of the interior back in the car again. I just cut some fabric to make my shift and ebrake boots, the door panels are ready to go in (but that will have to wait until the car is re-painted), and a few small misc parts will be wrapped in carbon over the next week or two.
With school already started, I'm going to try to get the car finished sooner than later so I can focus on my last year of school.
Well I snapped some pictures all around the car today and snapped some interior shots too.
any feedback is always welcomed.
If anyone wants me to post some high res shots, let me know.
Now some interior shots. The interior is dusty however, so don't mind the dust all over. I was driving and wanted to turn the air on (big mistake), and a huge cloud of dust blew out from the vents lol.
This was done in carbon last year, but I really didn't like the look of it as carbon. I sanded it down, fixed up some imperfections and painted it black instead. I think it looks a lot cleaner as black as well.
And the rear seat set up. I haven't really posted pics of this too much last year. But this is how the rear stands.
Well this is how the car sits as of today Sept 8, 2007. I have quite a bit of work ahead of me still (trunk set up is still needed as well).
I'll keep everyone updated on what happends with the body shop. I'm hoping to have the car finished and ready for Importfest in Toronto in November. *fingers crossed*.
wow...thats alot of work...great turn out.
Damn son. That car is sick! I am not usually into widebody and all but that looks so good now I can't wait to see paint on it.
FORGET GIRLS GONE WILD WE HAVE GOVERNMENT SPENDING GONE WILD!
Yah its got to not be 2 tone..straight blue would look the best
overall i love the car. the two tone would look better if there wasn't such a sharp angle on the doors. the contrast of the two colors brings this out even more. the rear has all these gentle curves that flow very well with the rest of the car but the piece on the doors interrupts that flow and makes it seem out of place.
Looks sweet Vince! Happy to hear you're getting a shop to take a look at it.
Nice rear plate btw, shouldve taken that off for the pics! lol

I agree. I am not a big fan of the two tone. Otherwise, awesome work and I am glad you are getting close to finished so you can show it again.
Wide Body Progress
what kind of lights are those in the back and the car looks nice.
Go straight blue and you sir, have a winner!!
Well...it's already a winner but all blue...perfect in my opinion!
Awesome work Vince...I love it!!
Eh...old man with a Corvette now...it was bound to happen sooner rather than later right?
CF the roof while its in the shop getting resprayed
The thing Id add would be some sort of pinstriping or design that seperates the blue and graphite, for some reason a really thin bright orange pinstripe would look tits.
very very nice! i love those first few shots.
could you post up high res for pic 2 and 10? thanx
* * BIG FOR SALE POST * *

#2. can it make the carbon fiber color?
#3. yes it would flow better meeting the sides of the trunk lid.
would love to see what you have wrap in carbon fiber for the interior.
good luck w/ the end of school.
high res shots after paint for sure!

my carDomain updated 9/2/07 I've got premium. Yes I do. I've got premium. How 'bout you?
Looking awsome Vince, if you need a hand with anything, let me know, I can come and help you out. I wanna see you make your deadline for sure.
i don't know why everyone hates the two tone so much, i love it.
i don't like the interior at all though. the outside of the car is so curved and sexy, then the inside is just so square and blocky. i have that same DVD player too.
you've done a simply amazing job with that car.
Very nice work. Time well spent
99z for 2015.. I'm back bitches
i bow down to your work and dedication.
fine work my friend, fine work.. I'd say the only thing thats missing is a big brake kit. but thats flawless none the less.
**changes are here**
holy @!#$ that car is sick!!!!
That car looks wicked man, really top notch work. I think having the silver be darker would make it look really good, as well as removing the stripe and having a cf roof. The one thing that wrecks it for me is the dash. It just looks like an office desk with too much clutter on it. A car like that should have like a cockpit style dash, for the driver as well as all your ice.
Looks good, I like how it turned out!
