ok i have been working on my trunk lid today since ive been home from work a good 4 hours i redid the filler and it smooth ill have pics up later on

ok picture time for my trunk lid process
1st pic is when my brother decided to kick it in
2nd pic is when my friends said dont worry jeff well fix it supposely they got a junker lid and replaced it
3rd pic me sanded down all the primer with 80 grit sand paper and use some filler to fill in dents in the lid
dont the bondo on the rear bumper my friends did that on the second try to fix my trunk
4th and 5th pic is where i am at now i would say it looks pretty back to normal other than primer and paint
this is my first time ever doin body work i like how it turned out but i need help what to do now before primer ?

looks to me like your ready to wash it down with paint thinner or reducer (both will work) and then prime it. i would use a high build primer like something that duplicolor makes.

well i thought you had to go over it with the glazing and spot putty or is that after i was the lid with paint thinner??

ok well i just primed my trunk lid it looks decent for now , ill sand down with 220 grit then primer it again and sand that as well pics up later
