I'd actually agree that this sounds cheesy, but only because I think more and more people (including myself, unfortunately) tend to use the term "tuner" in the ironic sense. The ricers out there have damn near ruined tuner-ism in the eyes of the general public. If I somehow achieved the right attitude, and accumulated enough knowledge, I'd prefer to have my label left at "car nut". It carries fewer connotations.

No Im pretty sure it has something to do with the ghey hood, dumb looking kit and 8 million vinyl stickers all over it. I would take a bone stock Supra over that piece anyday.... Also you can barely see it but theres a wing on the back which would make McDonald Douglass jealous himself.
