Nice, I like it looks now. Much better than the zip ties before lol
I just noticed you don't have wipers, good thing it didn't rain while you where here.

yea i kinda like it but if all goes planed i wanna do a wire tuck, or i will make a braket to hold it on the other side cuz it looks naked. i live in a apt so it was getting dark and had to do something quick so it wasnt just hanging by zip ties
yea its no biggy if it rains haha. just beads off.
Is it tied to the firewall? Im just getting the 2nd pic for some reason and I cant see if its on the firewall at all... It helps to do it if you havent...
and yes HIDE THE PCM!
yea its bolted to the firewall. well worth the money i think. on the highway i use to have like a sway side to side and it eliminated that.
Is that bolt on the firewall stock? I was under the imnpression I'd have to drill one, I have a couple bolts sticking out of my firewall also, and if one of those works, I'll be happy as a clam
Hmm, just compared a pic of my engine bay to your pic. I'm gonna have to break out the drill after all.

wrong. it bolts onto one of the bolts that stick out of the firewall! the bolt u use is basically right where the ecu is located, and or why u have to move it! or in my case, slap the ecu lower then the bar, and your done!

My ECU is mounted in the fender, as for the bolts:
Thats my engine bay, not NEAR that dirty, and have done a few minor things since that pic, an updated pic is next:
Ignore the red circle around my clutch cylinder, did that for someone else to highlight what the AEM bracket looks like and how it mounts.
BTW, I apologize for jackin your thread yellow22, I know this belongs in the suspension forum. Any other replies about my issue, please direct them to the thread I have in the suspension forum, thanks.
^ thats odd, u have every other bolt but that one?

oh i dont care man whatever but yea you will have to drill for the bolt. where mine mounted is where the ecu mounted but i couldnt get mine in there the damn power steering is in the way. but oh well i wanna put the ecm on the other side of the firewall anyways

Apparently. I seem to remember reading someplace on here that I can remove the cowl cover to be able to get a nut/bolt installed, when I get the bar, I'm gonna have to try that, I don't want to use a nasty sheetmetal screw, probably wouldn't hold worth a damn anyways.

yea thats what i have read also. pull that cover off and you can get that bolt on the back side
my car didnt have the bolt either, it had one like 4 inches over from the mounting point, but not one that would fit with the bar
Oh yeah, that looks VERY good. PCM should stay cooler too and perhaps last longer.
definately an improvement!
to me having the ecu right over the filter probably isn't a good idea?

yea i feel ya on that. next is to relocate the fuse box under the dash
Key yellow22, that piece of sheetmetal welded to the passenger end of the strut bar, was that the provision for the PCM? I didn't think GM had that on their strutbar, since they were only installed in the J-bodies up until the 2k model year.
Or is that the provision for the strut-tower mounted CC? Lets hope mine hasn't got that, I have neither of those things, and that bracket sorta kills the look of the bar on that end.
Its for the cruise control module.
well, I ordered the plain one that just has the tab for the firewall bolt, so hopefully that bracket won't be there, heres to hoping GMPD doesn't send me the wrong piece by mistake.
The number for the bar without the cruise bracket is #22604347. The one with the bracket is #22642387.
