Eco Swap FTW

Well ... 2 weeks ago .. Kris decided to blow up Gert and her 2200, not on purpose, but he was happy that I happened to have a spare lol. He can tell ya what happened exactly as I can't remember.
Took us a little over a week due to the crappy weather and doing it in the back yard fighting off bugs and loosing parts in the sand and not having a real garage. So there were a few complications on the way... but all in all I think everything was done great. He'll have some tweaking do to but other then that, he finally went home with a lot of new parts!

Here's the pics, enjoy

Our.. um .. garage lol
Kris wth r those?!
Time to drain the fluids!
After a long first day, Kris was tired...
Dude wth is this ... doesn't it belong INSIDE the engine?
The piston rod (i think) blew out...

Our tool shelf.
Hi Kris
After our first day, we played kick ball with the armadillo lol
Day 2 of the Gert tear down.
The donor.
Ammo box or Box-o-bolts?
Before.
Where'd it go?
Oh there it is.
So what's the easiest way to get it out?
Cut the frame of course.
Finally out.
Ready to go.
She's all set.
Yeyy
No napping allowed Kris!
Finally!
Puttin her back together.
Mmm projector headlights.. lol
Yuk, stock intake lol
Remember, don't let Hummers snack on you.
Finally going home

Well that's it, probly too many pix but i just wanted to put them up ... enjoy

My car may run 18s, but I can do your taxes in 10 seconds flat.
JBO lube - they would never have enough in stock and we'd never see RodimusPrime again

Glad it is done. Not sure why the intake manifold was taking off. Also why did you remove the valve cover on the 2200?

ive decied after doing this that i dont want to be a mechanic... lol... j/k...

but i took the intake header off the eco kuz it would have been easier to drop it in the engine bay with out it gettin caught on sumthin or cracking the plastic part...

well im in the process of securing and intake... thinkin about exhaust... i gotta get this lil do-dad so i can retro-fit my MSD DIS2 back on the car and i kinda wanna get a performance fuel rail and injectors... maybe AEM or sumthin... not sure what is available since ive never shopped for eco parts...

Taking the exhaust manifold off good idea. Intake manifold is not needed. I know where a RKSport intake is powder coated blue for sale.

Saab 9-3 Turbo manifold works for our engines... or you could drop a small dime on a venom one... or the gm parts direct one... that ones pretty costly too... cost efficient is the saab one, just gotta modify to fit ur TB on it since they use an electric one... but it has been done. Thats what i'm going to do once I get any cash laying around
