looks good man! gas fill re-location looks amazing, im really leaning twords doing this maybe next year.
did you make a plate to fill in the gas door location, or did you simply weld the gas door on?
also, does the gas cap hit the bottom of the trunk lid, or is there room to spare... or...???

Thanks!
Yes i made a plate and used a body hammer to round the filler plate to match the panel and welded it in. I didnt want to use the gas door because there is a hugd gap and i wanted as little heat as possible.
The gas cap does not fit even with my cap all the way down so i cut the handle of it off and im going to figure something out for that.
looks nice. did you do anything special to keep the new tubes from being too close to the tire or what?

looks awesome. the camera angle on the first pic of the intake looked like it was about 6 feet long and 10 inches around. now to get it installed.

I've got premium. Yes I do. I've got premium. How 'bout you?
tha_prowler - yeah i moved bottom portion of the filler tube towards the gas tank more and made the hole from the trunk face more towards the front of the car. Does that make sense?
s1lver_N1p - Thanks! I kinda thought that also. I have already had the intake in i just took it out to finish it up.
eTeRnALoNe - thanks and i love the sig
Very nice shave job/relocation.
Props.
Joe Schulte -- thanks - so when do we get to see your new project?
tha_prowler -- good luck and let me know if you have any questions
sUiCiDe -- thanks!
Nice! makes me wish to have it done before getting my car painted!

the solution i found on my car when doing this mod was take a hammer to the unside of the trunk lid. be carefull doing so, it will bend the lid itself. just take your time, do it slow.

STREAKER1369 wrote:Joe Schulte -- thanks - so when do we get to see your new project?
I've owned the car and have been working on it since November......so I've been quite busy with it. Almost there, 2-3-4 weeks from now and I'll be content. Now it's just awaiting an opening at the bodyshop.
Wasn't going to have the gas door shaved, but the body needs a little repair underneath it so now you have me thinking about it again. Decisions, decisions.
wickedhawk89 -- thanks! My friends dad has worked for chevy for 25+ years so if i ever have a prob then i just give him a call
