I recently aquired a turbo setup from Acer, who was the 4th fastest Ecotec on the org, 1st fastest automatic Ecotec on the ORG (side note, GREAT GUY/SELLER, he's helped me a lot so far).
I've been working on it in my garage, figures the weather goes down to about -5C all weekend. We washed it at -9C, people were looking at me funny, it was freezing faster than I could get the water off lol... I plan to do 90% of the work myself, with the exception of getting the wastegate routed back into the downpipe - right now it's dumped and I don't think that will fly with the cops around here.
Here's the progress so far:
Manifold's ports were very shabby looking, so I took a dremel to them (sorry no after pics camera was being a jerk, but they are much better)
Getting ready to start
My car is too damn stiff... jack is at the very front fender if it's hard to see...
Bastard bolt from the stock manifold/downpipe (that's my friend James in the background)
And how it sits right now
Tonight I drill out the stock battery tray, and cut a hole in the engine bay for the charge pipes, run the charge pipes in and intercooler and then I think I'll call it a day.

How would the cops ever know? They would have to be well informed on turbo set ups to even know the difference.
Today's update... didn't get as much done as I wanted, because I had to go for the big family easter dinner
Drilling out the battery tray
And what do you do when it's not painted underneath? Find a random can of primer in your garage that matches PERFECTLY lol...
My pretty little TurboXS BOV ready to go on (waiting for a gasket
)
More stuff waiting to be installed, Accel 44lb Injectors and Innovate Wideband
Pile of parts
Charge pipes sitting in somewhat final positions... after the setup is running, the pipes are going for gloss black powdercoating.
Stock parts, and my bike... waiting for the snow to disappear to get back on the trails
Progress is on hold until I get my online course's final assignment finished, but once that is done we will mount up the intercooler and downpipe and then get into the finer details such as oil lines, fuel management, etc. Anyone have a used HPTuners they want to part with?
Thanks for the positive comments so far guys

the powdercoating of your charge pipes will hold in some heat, if you leave it the polished aluminum heat will dissipate alot better
How is your charge pipe from your turbo getting to the intercooler? We were trying to figure that out on Bonnetts car..

The pipes are steel, and living in Canada, you should know that chances are they're gonna rust quite badly lol... I wish they were aluminum, or even stainless. Any suggestions other than powdercoating? However keep in mind I was getting the powdercoating done for free.

3" hole drill bit
We pushed the overflow tank back as far as it would move, so its now touching the strut tower. This gave us about an inch more room.. you have to just change the hole that the one screw on the tank goes into, to one spot closer to the cabin. I'm going to see if I can find a nice little trim ring to go around the hole afterwords...
