nice kink in the front end or the red one
Hmmm....hurry up and get it to the body shop. I expect to see the car at the next meet!
yeah there is a kink in the radiator support, but around the frame rail area there is no dammage that i can see
I see no ls sport bumper.
the bumper is locked up in a box trailor to the right of that cover that my car is sitting under, along with my hood, and a few other goodies
and i appoligize ken for the ghetto rigged install. i started to install them, and realzied i didnt have the self tapping screws i needed, so i just kinda left it there... hanging... and its so depressing... but the only time i have been able to devote to the car, was tearing down the parts car. school has been raping me. ... but in any case, i think its comming back off for the body shop. i dont want them to have the possibility of @!#$ anything up. i still havnt decided if i want to just let them mount it, since its such a pain in the ass to get an extra set of hands around here.... @!#$ raleigh @!#$s....
it is slightly kinked right at the headlight bolts, but if they need it, they are welcome to it. and just to update everything... a few pictures
thats the intake manifold i picked up from a local jbo member. got all the tabs off of her, and smoothing her out. one question tho. in the last picture, are these nipples pressed in? or are they threaded? i am trying to figure out what my best plan of action is. i was thinking, if they are not threaded, drilling them out and threading hte hole for a plug. any other suggestions? she needs alot of sanding, but people came over last night about that point and i got distracted. and then here is the newest purchase, from summit racing. got it a day and a half after ordering it. damn good price, wink wink, for anyone looking for one.

haha, shes in the shop right now as we speak. she had one more car infront of her on the frame rack when i was up there yesterday, so its just a waiting game. as soon as the frame is good to go, everything should be going together.
so you named your car a twat? lol
its hot... aint it... haha
has anyone messed with the "crome" powder coat? this is what i am looking to go with on the manifold when i get her all smoothed out
your next purchase is on the way
(you know what im talking about)
well lots of progress so far, hoods on the way, manifold is getting powder coated.... so everything is looking good!
well i got bored, so i put this together, playing with photoshop on the laptop to see how vista handled it. it did pretty good, unlike my photoshop skills... in any case, a few different photos from the car being put back together, and then i decided to add in a shot of the dreaded rod bearings. that was the number 3 bearing from the last incodent....
tell me what you think!

Take a sanding disc on the grinder to that and get rid of the grinding marks. They will show when you get it powdercoated or painted
Other then that looks great.
Never understood why people use the grinder like that on the HO manifold. Only making more work for yourself in the end, but whatever.
I used a cut-off wheel to cut all the unnecessary tabs off, die grinder to grind them down, then just used a DA to smooth all the runners. All you did was create a lot of uneven surfaces that you're now going to have to reshape.
It's not all that hard to get that smooth but if you don't it looks funny. But Joe is right, it's just more work on your side.

well i admit if i ever do anything else like that i wont. i started to just remove the tabs, and i got kinda grinder happy i guess when i saw how well it smoothed out the surface, due to lack of tools. then i got to sanding. now realize i did most of it by hand.... i was very pissed at my self. i should have a finished shot of the manifold soon. she is getting coated as we speak. but yes. i did greatly smooth her out.
I got the sensor that goes in that hole from the 2.3L if you want. I just plugged it on mine and used the 2.4L IAT sensor. Looks good though, I'll see it in person soon hopefully, sorry everything fell through this weekend.
na man dont worry about it. you got more than enough on your plate already. in any case, i am @!#$ faced at a freinds house, listening to some of the best music ever, and figured i would hit you back.... what you want for that sensor? as long as it screws in, i will be good. in any case, i still want to see your effin hhr... dammit....
