I see no indication of B&M anywhere. Looks to me like you took the shifter out, cut it, and put it back in. Any other install pics?

ok you see those little blue things in the cup holder if you installed a B&M shifter you would know those came int the package and the shifter I took out was all ready cut.

Yes I know the 4 blue pieces replaces the old rubber/metal ones in the 4 corners. I've seen multiple ppl try and pass other noname/cut shifters off as B&M. The shifter is a great upgrade though, enjoy it.

whats it do besides just shorten the shifter?

it changes the ratio of where the pivot point is. it brings up the pivot about 3/4 of an inch. makes a big difference. just make sure that nylon piece gets put in the right place or the spring arm gets in the way of 5th gear.

well o nthe B&M shifter where that little slit for that metal piece on stock shifters to hold the shifter on I just cut from right there it's a nice fit and works great if you haven't bought one yet buy one definently best bang for buck!!! well besides motor mounts or so I've heard..

im thinking about getting a B&M for my 96, just wondering what everyone else is talking about when they say "how much did you cut off".... and i know the pre 00 models dont come with knobs for some reason...anyone willing to part with theirs?

nice I am looking forward to doing this mod some time in the future...soon.....and also if you are going to go for a set of motor/tranny mounts try the turbo tech racing upper motor mount, I promise you wont regret I love mine minus the fact that now I am forced to have fun in the rain but have fun with that I know when my j was new it clicked and now it has become more worn...soon enough...this must change....

what we mean is that he cut another couple inches out of the B&M shifter to make the short shifter itself a little shorter. and the pre-00 shiftetr is supposed to be used with the stock knob. hope that cleared it up
