I still can't get over the style of those cars, I don't know what they were thinking when they designed it. Aside from that, the car seems pretty nice, interior is nicer looking than most GMs and the engine should be good fun. Hope you enjoy it.

I'd have gotten a Cobalt SS supercharged, but to each his own.

Cobalt SS supercharged was more money and has a cheap plastic interior and less grunt ... I drove one. And there are spoilers available and some guys have put a G5 spoiler on em and it looks decent.

i hate that car. ive never driven the GTP and i know there is a difference in power, but my exgf's g6 coupe gt was horrible. the brakes SUCKED. i hated the gearbox and the clutch was very spongy.. it was the 5spd tho, dunno if its a different transmission
and the front seats broke within 2 months. also the mirrors that fold down broke.
take into consideration that shes a girl and not a car enthusiast but still.
i hope it works out better for you than it did for that whore

one of my friends has a Black GTP he loves it, i believe its got 288hp as he has it right now... i raced it... i lost... bad... real bad... nice car, i wouldnt personally pay that much... id probably grab a GTO or a mustang GT or some v8 model priced relatively close... i like the color though

the rear looks to much like a wanna be 350 Z, or am i the only one that sees that?
What do those cars do in the 1/4? Are they comparable to the GTP SC? I think they are nice cars with lots of small features to class it up. Only problem is my GFs Mother has a base one and I drove it to NC from NY and had to have it serviced at 8K miles for uncontrollable brake rotation. The thing was scary but they replaced it under warranty. Otherwise great MPG and looks good.

i hate the way the car looks in the rear... just discusting if you ask me. but wow, gm finally pulled their heads out of their asses and put a manual transmission behind a FWD V6... NICE! wow i dont think thats been done since the older grand prix's with the dreaded 3.4 DOHC in them.
id like to see a grand prix s/c 6 speed... do they make any of them? im assuming since their now the 3900 in a g6 that the GP would have an even larger engine, but who knows.
I love that car man.. The only thing I dont like is how the airbox wraps around the whole front of the engine.. I dont get that.. But, thats GM for ya.. Whats the HP, TQ rating on your car? I knew a while ago, but forgot

I looked at a bunch of G6's while I was recently searching for a new car. The GTP one was the only one I considered due to its much better refinement and decent power. With that being said I still couldn't get over the styling. The car just looks odd to me at any angle, the front isn't really aggresive enough to fit the rest of the lines and the rear.... I have no idea what's going on with the rear. So anyways in the end I ended up buying myself a beautiful Victory Red Cobalt SS/SC G85
