engine swap time
Sunday, November 05, 2006 7:21 PM
well since vince is making me feel like a slacker im getting started on my winter projects. found it funny to see all the last pics before winter posts everyone has of their cars looking nice then going out to the garage and looking at my beast. i spent a few hours with the painter and although i can't afford to get the car painted how i want to this winter, i'm going to get some things done and taken care of. the car will be going into the shop for some body and paintwork first of december so we have to have the 2200 out by then wich shouldnt be a problem. we started last weekend, got the car up on jackstands and i took the kit off the fenders, hood and got a few engine things removed. didnt have a ton of time on it as we did some work on a buddies car as well. this weekend we helped out a girl to get her stereo working and put a few more hours in on the car. eco won't be in till late december. hoping to have the car back together and rolling by beginning of january so i can start hitting the indoor shows. but we'll see what happens.

interior shots

interior is coming out because im doing some work to it.

a shot of my ugly ass because you apparently need proof you do your own work on the org.

engine
heres me again jamming a screwdriver into something proving im actually doing the work. although i did have a few people helping me. (wonder if that will void my self installed claim, hmmm.)

we got the radiater, ac alt most everything in front of the engine off the car. still have to work the wiring harness the brake and the stuff on the firewall to do and then the suspention and it will be ready to yanked out. hoping to pull it out next weekend if everything goes as planned. got some parts to be sent off to the powdercoating, parts to be painted and parts to order for the eco. just going to keep the eco stock for right now except for a full exhaust and intake. future plans will call for the s/c and not sure wether i'll have that this spring or next year. still up in the air.

few shots of the car in the garage. if anyone knows my car they will be able to see two of the exterior mods for this year.

thats all for now. i'll try to update this post as we get more work done to it.

I don't know what the diy comments are all about, but at least we have proof. lol. The brakes look HUGE in that pic. It looks like your going to have some pretty cool changes next year. Hopefully I'll get a chance to see it in person again.

Psh that proves nothing. You just posed for those pics while the mechanics did all the real work. Looking hot for sure, wish I could come down and help out a bit but I'm busy as hell with school right now.

with all these people we may not need the lift jason. jack the car a bit more and have the 10 of us get underneath the engine and shot put it out.
