5 months later and the cav is finally resurrected
Friday, May 26, 2006 4:38 PM
On Dec. 30 2006, I was involved in an unfortunate accident which put me without a car for five months and $3,200 poorer. Here's a picture to refresh some memories. Even the rear bumper was destroyed.

As far as changes for 06, theres not too many exterior wise. The car is lower thanks to the Gravana Tuning Coilovers and the Wings West Sides were changed out for 04 LS Sport sides. Unfortunately the only pics of the interiors makeover is the shaved airbag on my dash, I have yet to finish the rest. Everything that was white will now be a stock looking black with white vinyl inserts in the doors. Not so obvious mods include: RK Sport Control Arm Bushings, Polished Addco Rear Sway Bar, Ken 2.2 Subframe Brace, and I have an FE2 front sway bar, just have yet to install it. Anyways onto the pics.

I don't post too much on here too much, but I had to when I saw your car all fixed up.
I remember when you smashed it, it was a sad day. Its looking incredible! Good to see it back. The dash looks good as well. The only thing I would change on the exterior is painting the bases of the mirrors black, looks a little too white in that area. Its minor but makes a huge difference.
Eitehr way though, its looking hot as hell!

Thank you guys so much for the positive feedback. It absolutely killed me not to have the car, and the last two weeks it was in paint I was about to have a heart attack I wanted it so bad. Its really much appreciated guys.

Now on to some answering to your guys questions.

I couldn't agree more bro and in due time, I'll actually get to changing them back to black. The only reason I held off this time was because I was going to strip the tint on my car. But I'll get to fixing that.

It was the best I could get them to line up unfortunately. I'm gonna see if I can pull the front up some to fix the gap under the high beams on both sides.

Over the winter I had actually planned on boosting the cav but unfortunately with rent, trying to finish school, snd it coming out of my own pocket to fix the car back, the engine build is pushed back till this fall. It will be on boost though.

And since so many people asked about the HVAC I'll address those all at once. The HVAC is relocated to the glovebox. Give me a couple of weeks and I'll add pics of the interior to show you guys.

Thanks again guys, I really appreciate the comments. Anymore comments, suggestions, questions, just feel free to ask.
Thanks again

so true

although, with the black wheels like that, larger brake discs would be sexy!!
