A litttle progress turbo engine bay pics
Wednesday, April 26, 2006 6:27 AM
Well i posted pics of the turbo a while ago and not many people like the piping to the TB including me as well. I redid the piping and put the BOV upside down and boy does she blow now. Im not sure if i should sent the pipe to get chromed or paint it arrival blue......I just got some cap covers for the valve cover from Revco on ebay, ordered some diamond plate(it will be here today) to cover up where the battery tray used to be and to make some accents. I also have a vibrant polished Strut bar from Jason at A+ performance on the way. These arent the best pics so ill post more after the diamond plate is on today. These are just progress pics....I still have alot of work to do plus my kit goes on this week.

Got em from ebay for 15 bucks shipped. They fit nice and snug so they arent going to come off. I think he was refering to my valve cover being painted blue not the actual engine bay.

Thanks for all the comments guy. I have almost all the diamond plate templates cut out for under the hood and im going to be cutting it all tomorrow and installing it not to mention scrubbing the engine bay to ge all the grime off. I think im going to just paint the piping arrival blue but i need to get an epoxy primer for the aluminized piping first so im gonna wait plus i need to get the new hood on when it comes to see if the clearence is the same so the piping wont hit. Ill post more pics tomorrow. Type J will be on here by saturday if i ever get it back from paint.

More progress...diamond plate

Heres some better pictures with the diamond plate added in. I didnt want to add too much and make it look cheezy so i just did the battery tray and the fuse cover. I was also suprised how good aluminized stell polishes with mothers. I might just leave it like it is and polish it real good. Well heres the best picture so far and I still have my chrome vibrant strut bar coming soon and the stainless briaded lines for the FMU fuel lines.
