same here
i like that much better now do the valve cover
so how are you guys doing this just buy 1500 grit then 2000 grit and sanding it?
JBO'S Mr. 64.....
Try emory cloth and wet sanding it the rest of the way then polish it up and it will look like chrome.
Emory cloth goes to about 6000 grit and it perfect for wet sanding which is where you should be at now. The water washes away any little sanded bits and allows you to get an even smoother finish to it. It looks greta so far keep up the good work.
Mine is on its way.
Semper Fi SAINT. May you rest in peace.
the way is was done, started with 400 grit, got it done basically flat, all the high spots and low spots out of it, then wet to 800 grit and redid the whole thing, then redid the whole thig with 1500 grit... then I started back form square one with the 400 then the 800 then the 1500 then 2000 grit, and spent alittle bit of time with eagle one never dull polishin it up. It takes a long time, quite a few hours, I did then entire thing wet sanding, no dry sanding at all. I already knwo how to get this one looking liek this so I'm gonna experiment with a few other things and see what i can do, if it doesn't any better I ill just redo it again this way wetsanding down to 2000 grit then polishing. I have 2 stock fuel rails, mine is still on my car this was the spare, I haven't decieded weather to use the polishe on and do a few more parts or just powder coat the other one since I have a decent amoutn of parts going to powder coating anyway, well see
