Well folks, tonight I started my door panel project, and installed my new 6x9's. Here they are about 2 minutes after the 6x9's were delivered...

So I go out to my car, and pull out the rear deck...what are those doing in there?! ewww...

I was wondering the same thing. Setup looks hot man, keep us posted! Are you going to run an amp to the speakers? How are they going to sit in the doors?

Looking real good. You should dye the rear carpet a single color or recover it to match the cars interior. Looks like your planning on doing some fiberglass work looking at the second picture with the speaker mounts.
Okay the deal on the carpet on the rear deck: It's actually velvet, and the fabric actually runs 2 different ways in stripes. Once I figure out how much my new motor is gonna cost, I'm gonna get black vinyl, since you can see the sun faded it.
Yes, the speakers will be glassed in, they'll be in the stock 4x6 area (the triangle place) and they'll be tilted outward so the speakers face the passenger/driver. I'll try to put the skeleton together tomorrow so I can post up some more pics.

i used marine vynil on my rear deck, it holds up better to the sun.. and its a a lot stronger than just regular vynil... doesn't fade..
