2200 automatic to ecotec 5 speed(finished pics)

Hey some of you know I've just finished my engine swap, I went from a 2200 automatic @!#$ engine. to the ecotec 5 speed engine. It wasn't even that expensive. engine only had 8,000 miles on it

$250 cost to Drive to PA from Chicago,IL 16 HOUR DRIVE
$100 Cost of all the fluids that needed to go in
total swap to make my car stickshift with an ecotec swap

swap took about two weeks mostly because we had to wait for the downpipe to be shipped to us

how was it doing the 5spd stuff from an automatic like with the clutch pedal, linkages, hole in the firewall, mounts, etc.

the pedal took about 5 hours to do it was a pain in the neck to get it perfect

and for the engine mounts the driver side mounts were so diffrent it took my dad about 8 hours to weld the ecotec stock mounts on

don't look to pretty but they work

and thats good enough for me

hole in the firewall was already there since the automatic shifter had cables aswell

it was a pain in the ass to get the automatic cables out since the cables ran under some little plastic vents

nope it's completly done

im driving it everyday

i already gave it to a honda accord vtec
and an 2.5 nissan altima

and i was a good race with a nissan se-r lost by about a car
but im going to do my suspension and then drop a turbo in it

alot of this swap is going to be on my companys next dvd

i thought about swappin my 2200 out for an ecotec but i dont kno if i want to yet or not. Thats a good find on ebay wish i woulda found something liek that hah since im located in pa. Looks good tho from what i can see.

is was really worth it

the 2200 is so much weaker then my new ecotec

im so happy with the swap

plus every person i've seen hook up the 2200 always blows the egine or somthing

does anyone wanna buy my 2200 with automatic transmission ,axels , wiring and computer

nice work man, i keept thinking about doing that with my 97, then said screw it and bought my 02 ls sport with the eco. props on the wrok man, post some clearer pics.

Looks good gotta love the ecotec's, props on the work.....looks like you need to get an actual intake installed......depending on how long you plan on waiting untill you get your turbo.....good luck with it!

im doing my suspension next month January
and then imma be droping the turbo in febuary
march im getting gauges and redoing my seats and adding tv's
april my car goes back into the body shop for the front bumper mod i want
at the same time they will be cutting my side fenders putting some z3 's and adding lambos
