The Life of WannaBzee (56k beware)

Got my baby 2 days after I got my learner's permit, on Feb 13th, 2003. She was bone stock, save for a cheap aftermarket cd player. She had just turned 73k.

I never took pics of her when I had her stock, so I found one identical to it, so here is what she looked like when I brought her home.

First mod was wheels. Found them at a swap meet for 300 bucks with brand new tires, off of a Suby Impreza RS.

I had also picked up an old SS emblem and decided to throw it on for grins

A few weeks later, I had my first system

During this era, I was on an extremely fixed income, so serious modding was not really accesible.

My next step was a windw tint, which I think is pictured in the first pics.

Most of the stuff I did for the first year or so was cosmetic stuff. I was working on my painting, so my car was my canvas, and that was cheap so I did a lot of it.

Soon I wised up and removed the SS, the filled in the area with paint of course

Just prior to the Summer of 04, a buddy that I worked with helped me build a custom CAI. Still have it, works great.

Then, the same guy talked me into putting an exhaust cutout on. More power he said. Sounds great he said. Then he proceeded to create a mess under my car.

I thought it sounded good though.

That summer I picked up some new subs at a swap meet for 100 bucks, and yes, they were upside down when I bought them

By the end of summer, I was sick of the exhaust, not to mention it was very illegal, and I did need emissions testing soon, so I took it to the local muffler shop and had them give me a nice one.

After that, things cooled off for a while. Didnt really do anything until I bought some projectors and clear bumper lights

Over winter break of 04, I had lost my license, so lets just say I got bored. So I painted my trunklid

Shortly thereafter, I begain my search for a Z kit, something I had wanted since day 1. I ended up buying the whole kit off a member here, and some new sidemoldings off a member her as well

Also got new front and rear speakers at this time, and interior neons

My parents had promised me paint for the bumpers for my birthday 04, so I got em painted at the beginning of 05. Had my mirrors done at the same time

Had gotten a set of clear corners too

I was finally able to show in the local All GM Fun Day, and to my surprise, I won Top 10 Best of the day.

During the sumemr of 05, I was able to pull huge hours at my new job, and had plenty of money for my baby, so some big changes came along.

I was able to get something I had wanted since day one, lowering springs Bought them from Jason at APlus in a GP and promptly had them installed. After I got it back, I painted the doorhandles.

About this time I had also bought my new daily driver, my 05 Cobalt

Then for my best investment to date, I bought a set of MMS lambo hinges from Tony aka Kryptikclown here on the org. The Other Matt helped me with the install

went up to Red Rocks shortly after with The Other Matt for some scenic shots

The rest can be seen here

Then I decided to say byebye to my rear seat

Snapped some pics at a local cruise in the next weekend

Another first for me thanks to my cavy was she was what I drove in my first drag races

Then about 3 months ago I picked up a set of Yonaka racing seats from Checkers, and threw them in

My latest mod was the underglow I bought for 20 bucks off Slo2pt2 on here

Most recent pics of have of my girl

So thats about it. Just want to say that my car would be nothing like it is now without the Org. So, guys, thanks for the memories! There will be lots of neat stuff in the future too! (Hint...Pshht! Pshht! Scrraaaaaaapppppeeee)

Tell me that's just another 2.2 with a Z24 kit on it that you beat.
If not, nice job. Proof that it's not just the car that wins the races.

Anyway, the car has come a long way. I'm glad to see my old kit finally got some paint. Keep up the good work.
