Well I am sure everyone remembers when John317 finished up the install of his Supercharger on his Sunfire vert well it is time for my Cavy vert. I believe I am the only Cavalier 5 Speed vert with the Blower, havent seen any others and I am pretty sure I am the only pre 2000 Cav vert at least. Anyways onto the story...
I bought the Supercharger kit used for $2000 (Not bad huh?). In the kit I got a Cartech FMU, 320 CC injectors, LT1 FPR, AutoMeter mini FPR Guage, Apexi SAFC 2 and the GM Supercharger with all the brackets and what not and the 2.7" pulley. Overall I thought it was a steal. As of now my set up looks like this,
GM Supercharger
320cc RC Injectors
LT1 Adj FPR
Fuel Pressure Guage
EGR Block off
2.7" Pulley
RSM 62mm TB
OBX Header
2.5 INch cat and cat back
Mounts
In my garage I still have the FMU and SAFC 2. The car runs MINT with the set up I have now and may not install the other stuff. I am not going to run more boost, I am currently at 6 PSI and am loving every drive with it. I checked my plugs yesterday and they are perfect, not lean, not rich, perfect.
My review on the GM SC: I like it a lot, it is a street drive daily driver with a lot of balls when you smash the gas. I really like the way the bypass valve works and the whine sounds so cool. I am waiting for good weather to go to the track. One thing I noticed a ton was when I was coming home late and temperature dropped to 65-70*F the car really liked the weather and went nuts, screamed through the gears.
As some of you have seen and helped me in the boost forum I actually had to install the SC kit twice due to some bad advice about the belt fitting with the AEM Alt pulley. I got the kit all installed and went to go install the belt and we hit a dead stop, so it all came off and the stock pulley was put on and all was well. I could probably put the kit on in my sleep now.
Last but not least I have to thank my Dad for saving me a ton of money by making innovative parts to save me from going to GM. He made the cruise box braket, the Brake booster lines and helped a ton of the install. For two of us knowing very little about boost and Superchargers we did alright.
Enough rambling onto the pics...

"Your Premier Source For Automotive Neon & Accessories!"
that is just SSAWWEETT!!!!
Question though, those hood shock things..is that as high as they go or you just did that for the photo
No, they go all the way up but you can get it inbetween up and down kinda and it held long enough for the picture takaing. The shocks make it go jigher than stock, they kick ass.
