Hey guys,
Here are some cool pictures I snapped this weekend. There is a basketball movie shooting here in Detroit called "Crossover". I was contacted about using my car in a couple scenes as well as getting a few other cars. So a few members of my Team and I were on set both Saturday and Sunday nights for several scenes. This weekend was shot at an old abandond train station downtown. Made for a great backdrop in a few shots. In one of the scenes, my car was right in front of the station next to some flaming barrels. I'll post those pictures here since I liked them so much. (kept higher res shots too...) Not only were our cars used, but we got to be extras in a few scenes as well. Guess we'll have to wait and see what hits the cutting room floor... I have another scene to shoot next Wednesday at a car wash. From what I was told there should be some more detailed shots of the car there. Anyway, I just got home and wanted to post these pictures. I'm going to get to bed and hopefully get some sleep... Yes, this movie will be in theaters this winter. It's not a local film. The 2 names that I know in the movie are Anthony Mackie who played Papa Doc in "8 Mile" and Wayne Brady. Maybe in this movie Wayne Brady actually does have to choke a bitch...
Filming wraps on the 25th. The last scene being shot is the one at the car wash next Wednesday. After that they go to edit. So will my car be in the movie... yes, will I be in the movie? Walking in the background, probably. Not sure what their intent is at the car wash. Maybe I'll get to be by the car. (sporting Ekset gear of course...
)
Brett, sorry, we didn't pull the camera's out on Saturday because we were told not to. I had to sneak in all these shots. They saw me with the camera half way throught the day Sunday and threatened to take it away. So I ran it back to the car. That's why you got the cheesy camera phone shots Saturday... lol. Yeah, wish you wouldn't have been sick also. You would have had a blast.
Here are links to the higher res shots of the 2 above pics if anyone is interested. The car is not perfectly clean by any means. It rained during shooting on Saturday so that killed the high Meguiar's shine... So on Sunday we had to leave the cars looking as if it had rained. They also brought a water truck through to wet the streets down to give it the rained look.

Just happens a long time family friend works on all the movies shot in the area. He called me when they shot "The Island" here in Detroit last year as well.
